Thanks all. I used super glue and filled the small holes where the fender scoops are supposed to go , and it worked well So was wondering about this Zap - Gap stuff to fill slightly larger areas

Current build i need to fill the side markers. Is the liquid zap gap filler ok. I've never used the stuff before Is it kinda like thick superglue?

I was in Home Depot the other day and spotted this Is it dead on? probably not But . close enough for me I used Duplicolor early Ford blue for my 67 GTX build. And IMO its a little too dark

Very well done. And Its not even in my wheelhouse of the cars that interest me to build I followed along on the WIP And the amount of work you put in it asstounding to say the least But if I may ask. In the black and white photos the car appears to be a darker color. Noticed the light color car next to it in one photo????? I would think yellow car will appear very similar , even in black and white

I can only speak for Mopars But no body color underside ever. Unless owner done during a restoration. Most.were a medium Grey. Dull black for LA Plant built cars. With a dusting of body color along the edges only Flat black would be for undercoated cars

So the camaro was same time or right before the 1970-72 Dusters ?

Ronnie. Buddy and Jake all had roots in Fords before their Chrysler association . Especially Jake King. But I've read numerous stories why their engines were Ford blue. Unfortunately the only ones that might know are Buddy Martin and Herb McCandless Both of which will be at Chryslers at Carlisle next weekend

After looking at this kit sit on my shelf for the past 30 years or more. I think it's time has come to do something with it. I'm leaning heavily towards a stock box build. The more commonly called 'KISS' method. (Keep it simple stupid.) But....i have the resin sixpack hood and a rat roaster intake to go MP car. Problem is I'm not sure i want to go another more detailed build with better chassis etc etc etc. Might come down to how well the paint on the resin hood turns out I'm plan to use aftermarket decals either way. Odds the kits decals are any good...is unlikely An issue to deal with is, there is not a lot of info / pictures out there on this particular car So far I, pretty certain there were actually 2 SM birds Both hemi 4spds, white bucket seats interior no console in either. The SS/E car had a blue painted roof , the MP car was stock black vinyl top Neither car had the Bird specific scoops on the fenders . WHY, I've no idea. Decisions decisions

Im not a Sports car type persay But I could live with a Ford GT40 - a recreation would be just fine or even one of the mid 2000s Ford GT would fit the bill. A 1st gen Viper GTS coupe could be a suitable substitute I'll add , If money is no object an original Ferrari 250 GTO is numero uno.

I have this exact kit. And was thinking use some kind of dampened material to spray thru to get a pattern similar to the 1/1
