  1. I just brushed this stuff on a set of headers I needed in a chrome like finish And have to say , It looks amazing. I'll let them sit all weekend then brush on the clear
  2. I did one last year to replicate by old car . Good kit btw My old Demon 340 , DONE , Finally - Model Cars - Model Cars Magazine Forum
  3. Cool, I like the 63-64 Big Fords I have few of ea on the shelf , And they make great looking race cars. so maybe someday here soon
  4. The side glass is blue tinted acetate file folder sheet The kits clear ft and rear + glass will be attached with clear elmers glue Yes. Should be done ...next few days Need to figure out what I want to use to paint the exhaust headers .
  5. Love it And I have original AMT '59 in the stash and a '60 thats done I like the cars look , great body lines
  6. Looks good. I just put some of this in my amazon cart
  7. Finally test fit of all the pieces. Should be done 1st of next week ( fingers crossed ) Just noticed. I need to paint the headliner ( So there IS a reason I take pictures,, to see things I didnt see )
  8. I'll keep that idea for the next time I decide to get this detailed on a build. Maybe this one ?
  9. I tried that. Didn't like how it crazed the glass. Much happier with this.
  10. Not fun. Made clear blue side glass from acetate file folder sheets. Then made door frames with plastistruk pieces glued in with clear glue Once this dries a day or 2, I'll touch up the edges of the 'glass' with superglue to set it in tight
  11. Would it have been nice had they made both injector stacks? sure. It would have made it much easier. But ,,, I have to say. I am for one extremely grateful they made the kit at all. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think an altered wheelbase Mopar kit would have been produced. Let alone BOTH body styles
  12. The only way I could see making it . Was once the tubes are cut. Make the seal plate and then reattach the tubes on top. I just wasn't that motivated to do it. But...I'm getting closer by the day Engine is in for final time All fuel lines are plumbed in. And interior is done. Wheels are done. Kit versions for the ft. Revell '67 GTX supplied the rear wheels / tires On to final assy .
  13. Looking good And I have to agree. They are an addicting kit Im on my 3rd AWB car in the past few months , Plus I have 2 of the A990 stock wheelbase versions waiting in the wings
  14. You ever finish this one ?
  15. Thanks Its the details Little things, Like the routing of the brake line. Brass colored radiator tank. The actual car didn't have the panel behind the grill that holds the hood latch panel, So I removed it on the kit. Leaves room to locate the fuel tank to the ft side like the 1 / 1 had Thought about making the panel under the injectors to seal it to the hood, But gave up on that idea pretty quick. Had I thought I was going to get this far into it. I would have ground the molded in firewall wiring off, and made my own. I like how Steve Guthmiller makes his * Notice the actual car appears to have had a chrome bumper. I'm told it was aluminum. Not painted fiberglass like some of them had.
  16. Very cool. These make for a very unusual, but very cool drag car There were several back in the day
  17. Looks good I have this very build on the bench. Right now
  18. All Slixx - Decals are on. So far zero issues. This one might just make it out exactly like I want it to Edit, Champion decals have been removed. Seems should have one or the other. Not both
  19. Same here I thought it was real. VERY well done. And yes. They are a very nice kit
  20. Looks good. I've built a few of this kit over the years. Recently did one earlier this year I went with orange ext and white interior Plus I have one that's on and off the bench. I'm converting to a Coronet RT convertible They go together really well and make for a nice shelf piece.
  21. Only took me nearly 10 years. I actually started one of these maybe 30 years ago with a Johan kit, That one,,, Didn't turn out so well. These Lindberg 1964 Dodge and Plymouths kits are one of my favorites to build. As I think I have 6 different versions built. And decals and kits to do maybe 3 or 4 more to do. (better get busy I guess) Needless to say, I was glad when this version came out from Lindberg. As its one of my favorite SS cars from the period. I've always thought it was a killer looking car . Actually, saw the 1/1 version many years back (probably a clone) Well, going thru my display case this morning I noticed this build was never completed. Missing just about everything under hood. Except the engine itself Rear axle was broken. Taillights were gone. Not a pretty picture. So, I took a few hours today. And I can 'finally' say, it is now. Except for the bench seat conversion. It's just a pretty simple basic box stock build Thanks for looking. And comments or criticisms are more than welcome. 22. Much thanks for the confirmation I 'THINK' the decal is on the Cady sheet I have for this car Need to double ck before I go looking
