  1. well, I tried the TS 72 on clear glass today Tinted it but it crazed the inside of the glass , and now cant see thru it Which kind of defeats the purpose I tried it on clear acetate with no issues so might just make my own side glass for this one
  2. 3 great builds. Found them doing picture search for the Doc Burgess car So, Gotta ask . Are your sure that car was an auto. I'll have this very build on the bench here REALLY soon Edit, Did some digging and asking people who where there back then. The car was in fact a column shift auto
  3. Dug a pair of bodies out while the weather was nice and with near zero % humidity Prepped, painted and decals applied. Will clear them today Be next ones on the bench
  4. Enamel clears are what causes the yellowing over time
  5. That's what I'm thinking . But wasn't sure . As I can't find a real clear picture of the car that shows the decal clearly.
  6. I do. I Have both the Dick Landy and the Butch Leal AFX cars already done Both were Built long ago but from a Good Stuff resin kit.
  7. Looking great so far. Excellent work / colors on the interior
  8. Thanks I'll pick some up this week. And practice a bit
  9. I have it here I would eventually like to build either the A990 car. Or Paper Tiger 2
  10. Anyone used this to tint model car windows ? Hints or tips if u have
  11. Ps, anyone able to identify the round decal on the quarter panel ? The car where Buddy and Ronnie are standing next to it. Is THE car I think of when Paper Tiger comes into my mind, so its my leading candidate to replicate at the moment The very first version ( blue Pentastar on the door and crossram with carbs ) of the car 'just might' be a down the road project
  12. Body is fully painted and 3 coats clear. I dint want to take a chance on old Fred Cady sheet. So. Ordered a new slixx sheet yesterday Found a duplicator gold that is REALLY close to the original interior color in my mind. Ford Harvest Gold I can get a lot more than maybe two cars out of it versus Tamiya Titanium Gold. For about the same money
  13. Thanks Tom. Yes. They can be / are very addictive I like them for how well they go together with essentially zero issues. Next one for me is Bobby Harrops Flying Carpet AFX . Decals for it arrived last week. That is my last Dodge kit I have on hand. I have one more Plymouth. Haven't decided if it's going to be one of the Golden Commandos or the Melrose Missle AFX
  14. I have not. At least I don't think I have These cars changed almost weekly so you can pretty much don't rule anything out in how they appeared at any given point in time I have a Speed City resin 1965 AFX hardtop. I bought years ago before these Moebius kits were avail. I may just use it to build the topless version Melrose Missile , Someday
  15. Thanks for the faith in me that I can actually pull it off. But I would prefer to build both the Paper Tiger 1 AND Paper Tiger 2 ( the sedan ) Plus I have the kit to build the Sox Martin 1965 A990 car that ultimately became PT 2 The current plan is when the time comes to build the Mule replica. It will be a crossram / carb car. Im gonna need more kits on the shelf As I only have one more of ea Dodge / Plymouth kits
  16. I remember seeing a picture years ago. What i believe was very early in this cars life. And it was orange and still the cross ram intake . And that car had the big blue pentastar on the door and white steel wheels. But I can't find that picture now
  17. Thanks, Gotta love the white fineline tape , Little hard to see white tape on a white car though. So I had my fingers crossed it came out like I wanted/hoped I think I can use the tires and wheels from the Revell Sox- Martin 67 GTX with very little mods . So we will see which way this goes Revell tires on the right. They have exact same width. Maybe 1/16" shorter OD . As far as doing both versions. That would be a ways down the list for maybe someday build
  18. Its on to the next one These kits are all basically the exact same kit , just different body. So I started a mini assy line with about 3 different kits. In regards to power train. Chassis. Interiors and so forth Makes it easier to go together quick so to speak This is number 2 in line. And probably MY all time favorite drag from that period. Tamiya Paints, ( deep down I think the red 'should' be a tad darker. But I'll live with it ) And Im not 100% decided as to which color blue I'm going to use just yet. Might do a few different hood scoops and see which looks the best. I'm undecided as to just 'WHICH ' version I plan shoot for just yet. Mostly in regards to how the car is lettered, carbs versus Injected and/or wheel choice .. I painted both hoods, Just in case
  19. Very good looking build. I like it . A lot. I might just have to build one of these for the shelf someday
  20. Great looking car I've got to build one of these soon
  21. Thanks. That's them I knew someone did. Just couldn't remember who And I broke the kit handles yesterday. But don't want to make it a parts due to such
  22. Yes. Touch Tone version had some extras that the LR version did not Newer release of the TT version DOES NOT have all the extras the original issue had
  23. Finally Red base left. White base right TS21 GOLD base center
  24. In the garage with no direct lighting overhead
