  1. I'm in awe. I like seeing all the scratchbuilt stuff, but I simply don't have the skill's or patience to do so. So my idea of scratchbuild ususally means " Oh BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH,,, I scratched it now I gotta rebuild it " To the ones making a complete replica from nothing but an idea and stryene sheets/strips simply amazes me
  2. The packard might be of interest to me.
  3. Sweet, I have the decals to do this car as well
  4. I love the old kits and will keep buying them as I see fit. and will deal with the in-accuracies ( if any ) as I see fit keepem coming And Thanks
  5. Finally pulled the trigger on a Speed City Resin 1965 Plymouth AFX transkit. I will go on record , if your going to build an AFX Mopar , start here www.speedcityresin.com
  6. I've got a complete miss deal kit I'll use to trade with (doesn't have to be stryene either ) I've also got the intake from the Johan cuda if you still need it. As far as an accurate 426 I think it depends on what your trying to replicate,
  7. You just know this tooling exists. and has kept me from paying some of the ebay prices to get another one of these kits. I would buy a couple of them as either a 1971 or a 1972
  8. And a 67-69 camaro , and a 1970-73 camaro , and a 1970-74 Challenger , and a 1970-74 Cuda , and so on and so and so on
  9. Good to hear this is being re-issued . This is another kit I did as a kid, so most likely I'll add one to my shelf for later one
  10. This one,,,, mint in the box would pretty much be my holy grail. I used to have one and sold it and REALLY would like to have another one. I do have a builder so ,,and everytime a mint unbuilt pops up, my toy fund is depleted
  11. While doing some straghtening up at the model bench today. I got to thumbing thru the magazine article on this car and realized it ran a 392 Hemi,,,,so much for box stock .....but I am leaning towards a black chassis to replicate the magazine article car. decisions decisions
  12. Well, the Ford hauler that was also sold with the Petty Dart is being re-issued so it's a good chance the 72 Dart is as well
  13. I have a builtup I've thought long and hard about selling it off while the gettin is good,,,,,, I have decent money in it but not an out of this world price though either. My luck is if I sell it, the re-issue would get cancelled.
  14. I think an LA Dart would be your best route to take. the rear wheel wells are already opened up, your going to remove the section of the grile where the park lights are so it doesn't matter if it's a 1970 or a 1972 .The rear bumper would have had aluminum blockoff plates over the light openings, so again it makes no differnce what you start with do a wanted ad for the someone who has or is willing to part out an LA Dart ( I only have 2 of them so it's not going to be me )
  15. The only versions I know of where the Ramchargers Dart funny car and the LA Dart wheelstander. BUT both of them are actually 1970 Darts but wouldn't take much to represent a 1972 Dart for what you want to do .
  16. I bought this one new for this exact build in mind. I've actually looked for another one and all I ever find is the clear bodied car. this is the one and only red tinted kit I've seen (should have bought more when I had the chance I guess) The decals were put on within weeks of opening the box back then and it's just sat on the shelf ever since. But not for much longer.
  17. That is totally freaking awsome. I love it .
  18. I built one of these when it first came out and I don't remember any issues , BUT, that was a long time ago and my menory isn't waht it used to be. might have to give it another try (must resist the urge of another project idea )
  19. In the articles I have on this car it appears oo have been candy apple red at some point and black in others. Just not sure the time frames on when either were ran. The magazine article I have on the car calls it 'all new' and it has a black chassis. But in some pictures I have it's clearly red
  20. How about one of the red tinted clear bodied cars. The chassis thats under this is just for mockups. I plan to build it and do the candy apple red chassis, I have pics of the car with a red chassis and and black chassis , I just think the red version will look better under the clear red body
  21. Cool. maybe do it in a transparent blue color would be different. I have one of the clear red colored Polar lights cars. One of my favorites
  22. I can't say I've ever seen that style bench seat in any 1/1 before
  23. Ok, I'm in. I have this same build to do,,,,,, someday .
