  1. Can anyone confirm the ft suspension used in the 1966 Long nose AFX mustangs . I've looked at pictures all morning and the best I can come up with is they used a stock lower control arm / steering setup. On what 'appears to be' a tube frame design . BUT, is it the standard mustang ' short upper / long lower' control arm set up with the strut rod design. I have a long sitting project thats calling out to me to finally get finished, and soon.
  2. Holy cow, I thought there were just the 5, then took a better look and saw the rest.
  3. Lookin good. I have one these same resin kits to do, I just can't make up my mind to do a Sox and Martin car or the Golden Commandos car decisions decisions
  4. That was funny chit. And a little 'razzle dazzle' can't hurt
  5. Just 11 ? must be a newbie
  6. I've seen several done and never heard of any issues . I have one to do but it's a ways down the list
  7. I've done the thin the hood area where the cowl vents are on a 1970 Challenger kit. it's actually not that hard to do and makes noticible difference
  8. I like it , well done I want to do this car but ths hood scoop has me scared off. I already have the Nomad planned for here soon and would like to do the Vette as well
  9. A good friend of mine owns a business manufacturing airport refueling trucks . And he collects all kinds of Oil tanker style trucks , most are Hess trucks . Pretty cool trucks for there intended market
  10. Yes it is/was. Doesn't matter to me HOW it is released . Just as long as it IS released. Even it comes exactly like it did in 1971 I'll still do the happy dance . Also, I hope once the kit is released maybe Missing Link with ' re-release' there 1972 Grille and interior conversion
  11. @ $45 each, you stole those. The red one in any of the 3 years is not all that hard to find. Even a red 1969 isn't to tough. But a blue 1968 or 1969 is tough,, especially if either have the original box. I've had a silver 67, dark green 68 and a dark red 69, but sold them all . I've since picked up a blue 69 with the cartoon box. and casually keep an eye out for another 67 and 68 Color is very much a determining factor on values when it comes to promos
  12. The Gas Ronda mustang funnycar is back out ?
  13. Blah, looks like a Camaro ran under a Viper and they merged, with not so good results
  14. Very nice. Is that a MPC 1971 Challenger I spy ?
  15. IF ( key word ) I had the extra coin, I would be high bidder right now. I collect moper promos and this one would be MY holy grail. This is only the 3rd red one I've ever seen in maybe 25 years.
  16. Something you mght want to ck out are plain old rubber O rings. You can buy a lifetime assortmant at Harbor Freight for under $10 I think
  17. I don't do contests, so all I have to do is please me . And I go more for the overall look. So stance is important to me to accruately replicate the 1/1 I'm trying to recreate for my shelf. I usually stay with box stock or pretty close to it. I MIGHT do ignition wiring and maybe some fuel lines but thats about the extent of my detailing list. But i'll work for hours trying to get a funnycar body to sit down over the ft tires, otherwise they just don't 'LOOK ' right.
  18. Pretty cool, well excuted. It's not my style but I kinda like it. And I'll give you one thing, You sure think outside the box thats for sure.
  19. Ok, I did manage to get a little time at the bench over the past few days. Got the blower scoop injector all plumbed ( not sure I'll do that again ) And have the blower and all the fuel lines in and started running ignition wiring. I remembered why I did more box stock builds while doing this, I just can't see the tiny holes to run this stuff like I used to . Lines and fittings are all from Micheals craft dept. So it's not 100% accurate but good enough for me. Also repainted the wheel centers in a flat silver to more accurately resemble the real car back then. Getting the interior tin to sit down over the chassis is giving me some fit issues, and I want the ft of the body sitting down lower over the ft tires . So I have to work on that next. ( sorry about the crappy pictures, looks like I need to clean my camera lens) Comments good and bad always welcome.
  20. Sold it many years ago. But I used to have a bright blue with black interior 1971 Demon 340 And the lone original MPC issue I have . Started this build sometime maybe 10-15 years back. I broke a few of the vertical tail light bars out of one side and got disgusted and put it in the box .
  21. Sweet, Revell kit I assume ? the more I see of these , the more I think I need to get me a couple
  22. When they're ready , PM me + pencil me in for 2 sets . I might try to make one set work to do a 1971 Challenger Unless there is going to be a challenger set as well , then I'll take a set of each
  23. I would love to have one to add to my collection. And I thought real hard about it at the $1100 buy it now. I think it will bring mid-teens myself . At the current price it's a pretty good deal even though it's not perfect When it comes to Mopar promos , A 1969 Coronet convertible is the top of the heap,,,,. , and a RED one is hands down the hardest one of them all to get
  24. http://www.ebay.com/itm/321085998759?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Heres your chance once again. With the recent sale of 2 green cars and a red one a few weeks back . I had a feeling these would start coming out . Not mint by any means , but it now was $1100 , once a bid was placed the BIN is gone. so all bets are off . anyone care to wager how much this one goes for when the hammer drops ?
  25. I just watched this . WOW, just doesn't seem to be enough. And to strap your butt in that at those speeds has to be a rush unlike any other Speedweek is on my bucket list to see someday.
