Nice paint, and stance.

I guess we are our worse critics. It's not "perfect" but it looks good. Foiling the front fender trim would improve the model in a huge way, and it's something easily done without the need of any disassemble or nothing like that.

Very realistic build. Loved the weathering. -
Cool Mustang, and I agree, very cool plate!!

Still with me, I have 9 built. Counting with the ones I built for friends or gave away, about 20. Unbuilt kits: Four AMTs Three Revells including a Fireball Roberts one. On it's way: A Revell police cruiser 1957 Ford...

Thanks guys!! It's not a new build, in fact I think I posted her here before. I just decided to put to use some of the decals I have to spare from my Revell 1957 Ford builds to some use. They went to the good old parts box, but you know how decals are, given some time they will get bad, and I hate to see things to go bad like that. If anybody is in need of the decals for the Drag Car version of the Revell '57 Ford, I have some.

I feel honored to be the inspiration for this stunning build Mike!!! Box stock and factory stock can be fun!! What about a 1/25 scale Burt Raynolds figure to go with it? By the way, I see nothing wrong enough with the hood to justify gluing it down Mike.

Some time ago I was driving from a city called Blumenau back to Florianópolis when I decided to stop at my favorite spot to dring a caldo de cana (a refreshing soft drink made with sugar cane) I had the Galaxie parked in front of the place and was drinking my caldo and looking at the car, when a Dodge also parked. That Dodge had a sweet sweet sound, mellow and very musical. No way it was a 318. I asked the guy what was the secret to "fix" the Dodge's exhaust note, and he poped the hood: Y-Block powered mopar by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr Y-Block powered mopar by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr Y-Block powered mopar by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr Yes, that is a 272 Y-Block Ford V8.

I know what you mean. It's so rare to see a survivor, and it really pisses me off seen a original car being turned into a butchered aberration. Please, don't get me wrong, I'm not against adding a personal touch to a car, but I only go to a point where the personal touches are easy reversed back to factory stock. I did it on my '74 Galaxie. I added some '66 Galaxie 7 Litre pinstriping in adhesive form that can be removed with ease, also added hi po dog dish hubcaps, a tach, a set of Summit racing under dash water temp, oil press and volt meter, all very easy to remove. Replaced the stock 7.75X15 tires with F70X15 Wide Ovals, again easy to revert. Replaced the stock two barrel intake and two barrel Motorcraft 2150 carburetor by a ECZ-B four barrel intake and a Autolite 4100, again easy to revert. The car looks a lot "personalized" but can be 100% factory stock in a day's work.

Yes, he will be missed. I used to pay a visit to his site at least once a week to see his builds. He had great tutorials on airbrushing, on how to choose the right airbrush for the job you want to do, and resin bodies reviews. I remember a '58 Chevrolet Biscayne he built in red with a resin body and the AMT '58 Impala as a donor kit. Loved that build. Also a Pink and black '57 Lincoln he built also with a resin body, this time using the AMT '58 Edsel as a donor. Think about tons of BMF on that build. I want to believe he just got tired of building models and shut the site down, unfortunately I don't think that's what happened. -
Bummer... Back in 2012 something similar happened to me. I was bidding on a super rare manual choke adapter kit for a Autolite 4100 carburetor. It was brand new in the box, manufactured in 1965. The whole auction, nobody bid on it, and I risked going up to 60. well, it sold for 75, and I would had gone to that if I were in front of the computer by the auction's end. Today, the same kit is no long on e-Bay, as they are really, really rare, and that one I lost is priced at 1200,00 Dollars at a famous classic pars store.

Let the glass on white vinegar for a couple of hours then wash it very well. Next, take some cotton balls and polish it with 3M perfect it fine scratch remover, and it should be looking like a brand new piece.

One of these days I'll have to show you guys my one and only Mopar build. -
I was reorganizing my cars to be able to fit some more in the same space, and decided to take my Mercury out and give her a little waxing and to take some more pictures. A passenger side mirror: 1957 Ford Custom Tudor by Lovefordgalaxie, on Flickr And a pair of PE Thunderbird badges for the valve covers and a PE radiator cap. I was a fan of the man's site too. He used to build lot's of resin conversion and lot's of vintage kits, just the kind of kits I like. I remember he had a pair of original issue '58 Fords superbly built. He also had multiple builds of the '57 Thunderbird in many different factory colors. One of his last works was a "Taupe" Oldsmobile. I inquired a lot about him, and I heard that he passed. I couldn't confirm this, but everything leads to the truth of the information. -
I don't want to be a pain, but the medical tape doesn't look so nice. It's kind of out of scale. Maybe some other kind of fabric?
