  1. The one you built was the inspiration for mine. 20 some years go, I built one that was also inspired by yours. I just didn't have the correct color for the interior back then. 1940 Ford Business Coupe by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr Thanks!!!
  2. Thanks a lot!! Thanks !! Yes, the wires are painted on. The AMT heads have the wires molded into the plastic. The '49 Mercury also has the same feature.
  3. Yes, the AMT kit has simple representations of the two fold down seats. The Ford Business Coupe was aimed at travelling salesmen, that needed only one seat, and lot's of space for carrying samples, or even small size products delivering. If he or she had eventually to carry more people, there were the two extra seats on the back. If one really wanted a coupe with a full back seat, and some people wanted, Ford released in 1941 the Sedan Coupe body.
  4. Thanks guys. Very appreciated!!
  5. Just finished this one. She started life as a Sedan Delivery a long time ago. I bought her as a built up in need of restoration from a friend. Like I had a Coupe body in my parts box, I decided to actually transform the Sedan delivery into a coupe. A little dig in the parts box found the body, the glass and interior tube from another old build I got already taken apart with a parts lot. Stripped the paint from all parts, repaired some crazing the body had, and started repainting things. Had to add the reinforcement bar to the fenders to stiff things up, as it had to be removed when building the Sedan Delivery. Decided to paint the car black, and used automotive enamel to do so. Did some restoration to the chrome parts by washing them with an old toothbrush and soap. That took off the dust, and brought back almost all the shine. Had to refinish the headlight doors with foil, as the chrome was very thin on that parts. The resulting model is almost box stock AMT, with just the addition of a tailpipe, and vent windows made out of acetate, as the body came without the stock AMT parts. Hope you guys like this little coupe. 6. Thanks a LOT gentlemen!! I don't do anything special. I just airbrush automotive enamel on the car, and use a single action Badger 350. https://youtu.be/kwkdLh7QbOw?t=314
  7. Have two of those, one that is stock, and this one hot rodded. When I build mine, i'll use a flathead Ford.
  8. You did a great job on restoring the model and at the same time preserving what you had originally done. Best of two worlds if you ask me.
  9. That's an odd looking car. Never new this kit.
  10. More some progress on the '40 Ford. Painted the dash, the interior, completed the frame, and i'm ready to assemble this beast!! 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr
  11. Thanks guys. It's not really new, I'm just having fun taking pictures on my dealership dio. If it starts to get boring you tell me, OK?
  12. Saw the build on facebook. Loved it!! One cool looking Olds.
  13. It is black. Nothing fancy, just old plain automotive enamel. No clear also.
  14. Thanks!! Love this kit too.
  15. Well, I did a quick mock up of the body plus fenders on the frame. It looks like everything is going to be OK. Have the interior, and frame painted. As soon as it's dry enough, I'll paint the second color on the dash, and detail paint the exhaust on the frame. Almost done with this '40 Ford. 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr

  17. Great build quality, and the color choice is perfect for the car.
  18. Well guys, it's being a while. Finally had some time to work on the Ford. Had to do some body work on the body and fenders after the old paint came off, and that took some time. The red paint on the body had crazed the plastic a little. Had a couple coats of primer on, and then shot some black enamel. Gave the body a rub when dry, and now it's up for the interior. The engine is already painted, but will give a new coat of black on the frame after sanding a couple of mold lines the original builder forgot. 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1940 Ford Restoration by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr
  19. Very nice color choice, and great work on this super clean Ford. Loved it!!
  20. This has to be the model of the year.
  21. Re-shooting some of my old builds on my dealer diorama, just because Paint is plain enamel, just like Ford did on the real thing, no clear, no BMF (used my own home made foil), and no extra detail, I'm pretty happy with what comes in the box. 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria. by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria. by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria. by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria. by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria. by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria. by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria. by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria. by CCCP Digital Studio, on Flickr
