It´s a cool car Ray. From here I can't see what is so bad about it. One thing is for sure, I'm never using BMF again. Take a look at how I make my own foil:
-
WOW!! The dry brush work done is just fantastic. Looks so real. We can almost hear Rosco on a ditch calling names while the Dukes get away...

Thanks lads. Actually, the fender was the easy part. The hard part was the hood. The fender just needed to be unbent with some hot water, and then glued back with a bit of Revell Contacta glue, that bonds the plastic together. After that there weren't barely any spots to sand smooth. The hood by other hand... Had to use body filer and a lot of sanding to get it hole-less again!!

Thank you guys!! I was positively surprised about the color. It didn't look so good on the little Testors bottle. If you know me, you also know I'm not a fan of wheels bigger than 15" on any car. But, I didn't have the stock wheel covers for the Impala, and this was the nicest complete set I had. The last set of cool wheels and tires I had (Cragars and Firestone Wide Ovals) I installed on the AMT '60 Starliner "masterpiece" model. Oh oh, I not only opened the box, also changed the wheels of the model!!! Not it's worth nothing for a collector!!! If you believed I'm worried about that I have a bridge to sell you here in my town.

Very cool, and built from the very best kind of kit!!!
-
Just a bit of foil, and it will look as the real deal.

Great job on a very interesting subject.

I think everyone is the same when it goes to model building. If you are building them for yourself, you relax, and try to have a good time, but when you are building a kit for someone else, it's like a job, and you try to get the best possible outcome. It was like that with my last build, the black '60 Ford. Needed something to relax. That something arrived at my door by pure chance last Monday. My friend Enzo decided he won't be building cars anymore, and will dedicate to aircraft modeling only (I know, it must be some kind of mental disorder). He also decided to give me a cardboard box full of spare parts for model cars... Bad huh? Among the engines, wheels, tires, bumpers, hoods, there was a sorry looking AMT '64 Impala. I decided to have some leisure time trying to restore it. Among the parts I got from Enzo, and my parts box, I found almost all it was needed to rebuild the Impala. Only couldn't fins four stock wheelcovers, so the resto went on a different way, and I used the "Sombrero" wheels from the AMT 1962 Thunderbird kit as rolling stock. Also decided to make use of a super old bottle of Testors "Colors by Boyd Chee Zoom Teal Pearl" and painted the impala with it. Started the restoration on Tuesday, and finished today. Far from perfect, without much detail, and with a so so paintjob, but I did relax a lot. Thanks again gentlemen!!

Thanks again guys. For the ones willing to see, I have the build on video:
-
Very faithful to the movie car. Of course, before Cobra was finished with it.
-
Nope. BUT I have one of those pre built kits, the AMT Masterpiece, that comes fully built, that has the waves of the headliner showing trough the roof. I guess this is a random issue, as the other Starliner kit I built didn't have the problem also. As a curiosity, the "masterpiece" Starliner also have another problem, big sink areas near the fins, on both sides of the trunk.
-
Thank you gentlemen!!! This one was built from the AMT kit, the 2008 "deluxe" edition, that comes with two complete engines, plus tampo printed white line tires, Wide Ovals, lakes pipes, mags, and some more cool features. This is the box:

Here we go again, another Ford Starliner. The second I build, only this time its for a friend that owns the 1:1. Like he doesn't want the real car to appear, I used a different licence plate on the model for picture taking. The model is all box stock. 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr A few more: 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr 1960 Ford Starliner by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr

WOW, looks great!!! Super nice paint and foil.
-
Yep, this is the best Pocher build I've seen.
-
Thanks Carl!!

Second part:
-
Satrted this one, it's a commissioned build for a guy that has a 1:1 1960 Ford Starliner. Will try to cover some of the build on video.
-
Great Idea!!! Will also make a diorama with a picture of her and the lyrics of "First" on the background!!
-
Will start building models inpired by Lindsay Lohan. My secret crush...
-
Thanks Mike!! This one was my first PS illustration. Really not that hard once you get what too does what.
-
Thank you Mike!! Really appreciated.

That's a great looking car. The color is gorgeous. The only thing I didn't like are the hubcaps. Modehaus did a very poor job on replicating the Ford dog dishes, and I'm glad I saw them on a car before buying. On the AMT Fairlane 500 427, there are some very acceptable Ford dog dishes. Modelhaus did them too tall, and didn't quite got the looks of the real deal. Look what I mean: My '74 Galaxie by Túlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr

Don't mention my friend. That's the objective of our community here, to help when we can. I have a LOT of old stuff from many different years of Fords that I also use as reference, on my Flickr account. Here is the album address: https://www.flickr.com/photos/lovefordgalaxie/sets/72157623544353185 Another great source, and I mean really great, is the American car Brochure Project site: http://www.lov2xlr8.no/broch1.html Just pick a manufacturer, and surf trough the years and years of brochures they have there.
