  1. Possible. it's a Mopar after all...
  2. It is very reassuring to see a '57 in stock form and so well done.
  3. Really nice. Really admire who can get a resin body and get to this kind of result. I won't touch the stuff. To quote our good Doctor Cranky, "I'm addicted to styrene". That doesn't include resin Know well the AMT Fleetline, built two, and the front end can be a pain to get to fit right.
  4. If you have no airbrush, and are confused about primers and stuff AND want to be sure of the results, well, paint everything with tamiya TS spray paints! Did some bodywork? Closed seams and killed some plastic tree attachment points on parts and want to make sure it's smooth and really ready to paint? Tamiya primer surfacer will get you ready. Granted result every single time. You can even paint the bodies of cars without any primer. If they are light gray, or white, go straight to the TS color you want, just give it a "misty" first coat first to anchor the others. Tamiya TS spray paint is a lacquer, but it won't harm the plastic in any possible way. Can post some pictures of cars painted with Tamiya spray paint with NO primer if desired. The only disadvantage: They cost a lot.
  5. I use a spray can primer by Lukscolor that is formulated to protect plastics ans Styrofoam from their enamel spray paints. I use automotive urethane over it and the body remains intact. The only paint I use no primer whatsoever is Tamiya TS series spray cans. I also use the very same primer to paint solid colors, and in this case I only use Synthetic enamel, or Nitrocellulose Lacquer, to have the exact same shine as the cars had back in the day when they were brand new inside the dealer.
  6. i'm not an expert on Mopars, but didn't the '57s had a smaller inner headlight? This one kind of looks like a '58. That somebody planned to use on the Camel Trophy and forgot the 4X4 system.
  7. Hey, that's not that ba... No, no wait. Yes it is that bad. What is it supposed to be? A ugly pick up truck? A ugly car (not Aztek ugly, but still ugly)? A ugly pick up truck somebody transformed into a sort of ugly car?
  8. Call me crazy, call me sucker, call me idiot, but I would had bought it
  9. That is just amazing. Also great to know there are other crazy guys that build multiples of the same kit only in different colors.
  10. Really really liked the job you did.
  11. Hod did I lose this?? magnificent is not enough.
  12. Looks great!!
  13. 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Victoria. 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 four door sedan with four opening doors.
  14. Just amazing. A work of art.
  15. Looks like the guy that sold me the 100th anniversary kit did something "smart". I got it used (open box) from ebay, and the contents were the old tool kit (complete and with the parts sealed in their bags). I also have the '51 Chevy in the tin box, and this one I got sealed at a hobby shop, but there are no photoetched detail or plug wires, just a regular '51 Fleetline kit, with some extra material related to the history of GM, and the car.
  16. Monogram in 1:12 scale: 1957 Chevy by TĂșlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr AMT 1:25 scale, old tool: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe by TĂșlio Lazzaroni, on Flickr
  17. If you want to stay in 1:25 scale: The 100th anniversary kit, is the '60s tooling Bel Air. It's a good kit, and I like it a lot but it's not as detailed as the newer tool kits. I built it and loved it, but for some, the detail level is not enough. There is a newer version of the '57 Chevy, also by AMT, with more detail and opening trunk. It's a kit of the same level of detail as the AMT '20 Catalina, '58 Edsel, or '58 Plymouth. newer tool, like I said. The Revell kit is not a Hardtop, like the Monogram 1:12 and the AMT kits, it's a two door sedan (with post), and it's also a new tool kit, with great detail.
  18. Go to evilbay, and get a Monogram 1:12 scale '57 Chevy. I'm a Ford guy, but lost count on how many of those I built. GREAT kits.
  19. That's a great looking car. Loved it.
  20. WOW!!! That's amazing.
  21. I liked the overall look of the car, and you should be a lucky guy, because the clear hood on the kit I have is a piece of junk.
  22. Thanks a lot James, and Helmut, very appreciated!!!
  23. The model doesn't pass the actual size of those cars. Possible the very largest wagon made in the 1990s?? Friend of mine has one with woodgrain on the side. Great looking car.
