Hi guys. Sharing with you my very new conversion. I have made this 1966 Fleetwood Brougham out of a Jo-Han Coupe DeVille kit. The original kit was unpainted but fully built under thick layers of glue... It needed a refresh and a bit of love. Fleetwood's roofs are higher than DeVilles, so to get closer to the real car I created a new raised and elongated vinyl roof to receive the thin B and larger C pillars, also created new rear vent windows, new doors and interior wood-ish panels, new seats and floor carpet, new lower body molding trims and chromes, hand sanded paint and clear coats, white walls etc...Hope some will like it!

Hi guys ! Here's my last built of the year. The '76 Eldorado is the last official convertible by Cadillac, and I've made this one from the JoHan's Coupe. New paint, trims, wheels, WWs, detailed interior.... I'll give her a better and more accurate hard boot cover next spring. Hope you'll like it.

Hi guys. Today I share a rare Cadillac I have in my collection. As we know, the 1960 Cadillac promos ( as well as many from 1958 to 1962 ) are all deformed and warped now, but since kit versions were not produced with the same material, some are still straight, like mine. I have replaced the original wheels with the ones from the '59 Eldorado Monogram's kit, which are way more accurate. This Cadillac needs a bit of work and detailing but overall is worth to show its fins !. Hope you'll like it.

Hi guys. Here's a tribute to my own beloved 1973 Cadillac DeVille that I used to drive some years ago. I had a damaged 1973 Eldorado promo left that I wanted to restore with the exact same colours combination than my late DeVille. So here she is, with new paint and polished coats, interior wood-ish door panels, carpeting, white walls, front and rear fender shock absorber lines and detailed bumpers, detailed hood with thin gold lines. Scripts needs attention and I aslo need to find side mirrors, which is quite hard to do !. Anyway, hope that Caddy will please some of you. Cheers.

Here is a 1/25 scale Revell 1949 mercury that I did recently. Headlights and street light are LED with scratch built background and street lamp. The phone booth is from Doozy. Posters are downloaded from the web and are all from 1972, as is the licence plate. The original plan was to do a replica of the Badlands film car, but it looked to dull in plain black Painted with Mostly MIG & Vallejo acrylics + hairspray/salt and Oil weathering.

Hi guys. Today I share my last conversion. I have build it from an old JoHan's 1968 Coupe Deville kit. The kit was damaged so I decided to turn it into the 4 doors Brougham Cadillac was offering that year. The roof is completely new, higher and stretched towards the trunk, with new windows mouldings, new B and C pillars, new vent windows. The shoulder line on the body is also modified, more horizontal than the coupe. The interior is converted with plain front seats and wood-ish door panels, carpetting etc... New lower body mouldings to match the real car and set it apart from the Sedan Deville. Color is as close as "Spectre blue" with hand polished clear coats, and black matte vinyl top. Hope you'll like it.

Built from 1989 issue Prestige kit. Several parts had extremely poor placement and fit on top of being warped. The opening doors and trunk were the worst offenders, so those were glued shut and rescribed. Also, some parts were missing due to rattling in a battered holey box for 30 years. Nonetheless, I was customizing anyway with mods as followed: Twin Supercharged Ford V8 swap comes from Mathew and Debbie Heys T-Bird Pro Street, with a custom made intake as the original munti-piece chrome unit kept hitting the Mercedes hood. Styrene scrap trees bent as intake tubes and oil filters turned into air filters as the original pieces were missing. Electronic fan/radiator comes was also sourced from a Revell Acura Integra. T-Bird Pro Street's side exhaust was used with heavy modifications to exit at the rear Steering wheels comes from AMT Silhouette Mesh screening was used in lieu of kit's vent piece, which was an ill fitting heap when it hit's the inner fenders Front and rear bumpers were omitted to created cleaner look, bumper pins were used to cover up mounting holes. Badging and such were shaved and smoothed. Custom wheels form unknown Revell source, with front tires being Toyos from Revell Honda Civic and rear tires from Revell C5 Corvette. Disc brakes were used from a Revell Corvette Sting Ray III Interior paint is Rustoluem Advanced Formula Flat Brown. Exterior is Tamiya TS-72 Clear Blue over Rustoluem Silver cleared with Pledge

Recently reissued 1/25th MPC kit. Fiddly in spots and the side bed pieces were so warped, that I had to glue the tailgate shut and rubber band them all together. Modifications as followed: L28ET SOHC I6 Turbo engine swap from an AMT Datsun 280ZX Turbo Exhaust tip from AMT 4th Gen F-body kits Bucket seats and steering wheel from Revell Datsun 240z. Steering Wheel gauge is kit's custom part and shifter is from unknown source Kit's leaf springs were warped and the left one was snapped on the tree. Kit's rear axle was used with custom 4 link like setup with rear springs. Wheels and tires are custom pieces from a wheels parts baggie of an unknown Revell subject purchased at a swap meet long ago. Brakes were from a AMT '67 Mustang, wheels were painted Rustoluem Metallics Pure Gold Interior paint is Rustoluem Advanced Formula Flat Brown; exterior paint is Tamiya TS-19 Metallic Blue under Rustoluem Aluminum cleared with Pledge.

Hi guys ! Sharing with you my newest build. Made from a damaged JoHan's 1971 Coupe Eldorado promo, this convertible is starting a new life. New metallic paint and clear coats, new wheels and white walls, detailed interior and dash, soft boot, etc... After a long sleep rusting in a barn, the caddy now enjoys the quite roads of Route 66 . A special thanks for the beautiful diorama made from a talented friend of mine. Times are hard now, so keep safe everybody. Cheers !

Recent "Original Art" series reissue of AMT 1/25th scale kit. Modifications as followed: Custom "Aero" front and rear bumper parts that came with Monza were used. GTO style hoot tach bump from unknown source. Most of LT1 motor from AMT '94 Camaro manifold; oil pan and water pump/pulley pieces came from AMT Monza V8 Custom headers (may have been the ones for the 350 turbo setup) from a MPC 82 Knight Rider Firebird Custom side exhaust made from scrap plastic sprue and muffler+tip from unknown subject Ricardo like seats and shiftier from MPC '70 Super Bee Pro Street Kit came with 3 dashboards, one was a newly tooled piece with better details that was used. Little did I know it was such a poor fitting piece that it required trimming to get in the grooves in the door panels. It worked out, but still Round 2 double check these things! Wheels are custom ones from a Revell '50 Ford F-150, painted Rustoluem Metallics Pure Gold. Front suspension was lowered as it sat too high, rear was left as-is. Yet again, front tires are from a Revell Acura RSX, and the wider rears come from what could be an AMT Fast and Furious Veilside Toyota Supra. Brakes are from a Revell 4th Gen Camaro Interior paint is Krylon Rose Gold Metallic; exterior paint is Rustoluem Color Shift Galaxy Blue cleared with Pledge. Well here i am again, starting another model. I happen to be a fan of strange/uncommon cars and engines, which makes this build super interesting for me! The plans are to lower the truck, add some cool fender flares, and some killer wheels. But you cant have a ridiculous truck without a ridiculous engine, i'm currently torn between four engine choices (1994 Corvette Ls, 1968-73 Corvette engine, adding a supercharger to the stock 4 banger) I'm now out of school working full time, so progress may be slow but hopefully I can keep progress onthis one.

Hi Guys, Sharing with you the first "light" restoration/conversion of the year. I had this Jo-Han's 1972 Cadillac Promo in decent body condition but the paint had some scratches, especially on the roof. After some paint clean-up, I decided to build it with an option that Cadillac was offering that year, the Custom Cabriolet edition, a half padded vinyl roof option on Eldorado models, with curved edges wrapped around the B pillar's side base. In comparison, the "regular" Eldorado Coupes had the entire roof covered with vinyl, with straight edges on the B pillar. I have detailed the interior with a new color, carpeting, "wood-ich" door panels, dashboard, etc. For the exterior, Bare Metal foil everywhere of course, some X-tra thin white decals on hood, new Cadillac emblem, front and rear black rubber bumper stops were added, new larger white walls, specific and accurate hubcaps for the model-year. ( In fact, 1972 Jo-Han's Cadillac promos were offered with the 71's Cadillac hubcaps, which are different from 1972 ). This 8.2L V8 baby needs some work again on chromes and I am still trying to find a source for int/ext. mirrors though... Anyway, not a mind blowing conversion here but at least some inconditional love for one of my favorite Cadillac model ever. Hope you'll like it.

Today I share with you my last build, a Cadillac of course. It's a Page Resin kit, probably converted from the Fleetwood 1962 made by Johan. As it's not a mass produced kit and it is made by hand, it needs a fair amount of preparation to get the final assembly right. Overall the kit's quality is very good, comes complete with chassis, glass and bumpers but no chrome plated parts... so as it is now impossible to find someone or a company trustworthy enough to offer this service, I had to use an old wrapped JoHan donor for the chromes. These "Deville" series have never been made by Johan ( who made only Fleetwoods ) so the roof line as well as the B pillar are totally new and correct for that series, and the horizontal strips above the rear bumper as also new and accurate. The last today. One of my favorits in my collection, Also a kit from Revell what made a lot of fun to build. I built it in October last year and primary i bought it because of the very cool decals. But the decals were not to old, no, they broke, when i put it into the water. Irreparably. So i built it in Street legal version. Last week i took him again and made it lower to the groung. Hi everyone, Here's a build I finished up a couple months ago but neglected to post photos of. It's Donnie Allison's 1969 Mercury Cyclone II. Or sort of. He never drove the flat-nosed Cyclone II, just the "W" nose. But I only realized this halfway through the build and decided to just finish it as-is. It's the Polar Lights re-release from a couple years ago and goodness was it a lot of trouble! The chassis fit was poor, engine details were soft, and of course it wasn't even the right car. Not wanting to waste too much on a kit that isn't up to par, I built this out-of-box. One nice thing about this kit is that you get 2 full engines. I went with the 427 and added the 429 to the spare parts bin. The red is Tamiya acrylic flat red shot through my airbrush, and the gold is a Mr. Color lacquer that is just stunning. I used Testors Ultra-Gloss Clear (I think). I used the kit decals and they were very nice. The chrome pieces were too bright, so I sprayed some Tamiya TS-79 semi-gloss clear over them. Despite all the issues, I enjoyed the build and am pleased with the result. And as this uploads I think I'll go pour myself a glass of Coke... Thanks for looking, Jake

Just picked this up at a flee market for 5 smackers! It looks pretty old and has already been started. I plan on restoring this to something better then original. Now time to dig in and dismantle!

Hi guys. This Cadillac is a Page Resin kit. The cast was very good but needed some prep. Originally looking more like a regular DeVille series, I've turned and built it into the Fleetwood series, with lower body trims added, a matching interior and a "Brougham-ish" upholstery. Definitely one of my favourite Cadillac in my collection.

Hi ! Here is my very first Cadillac conversion, made a couple of years ago. JoHan only produced Eldorado Coupes from 1971 to 1976, so I took a old "76' Eldorado Rancher" kit to make this specific version. As 1978 would be the final year for the full sized Cadillac Eldorado, I wanted to make the highest trim level. The "Custom Classic" was very distinctive with its 2 tones exterior body and also a duo-tone pillowed leather interior ( done with clay ). 2000 Classics have been built that year, only 25 with a sunroof, like my version. I unfortunately couldn't get the exact same colours at the time I built the model ( Arizona Beige and Demitasse Brown Metallic ) but I tried to get as close as I could. As she's my first conversion, some mistakes here and there..., like a missing "Eldorado" script on the front edge of the hood. Rear bumper and taillights have been modified, as well as the rear window. Shock absorber fender and trunk lines sculpted. It was so fun to do though , but putting the 1mm black line decals on fenders ?....no so much !

Hi everyone ! Here's one of the last conversion I have done in 2018. As JoHan Models have made Cadillac Fleetwood promos only from 1958 to 1962, since years and years I wanted so bad a 63 or 64 Fleetwood to add my Cadillac collection. So I started this one from the Convertible kit, and have used a old twisted donor model for the roof. Lower body trims are created with styrene rods and strips. Interior is not perfectly accurate, I am still learning ! She's almost done, some details to add, such as mirrors and scripts here and there... Hope you'll like it.

I know it is likely this topic has been posted many times before, but I can't seem to find a solid answer. I am very new to this hobby and have started working on my first car. ( 1/24 Monogram BMW 635 CSI) I decided this to be the first car to work on. I realized that this kit was missing a wheel and rim. The remaining rims, which are basically just "plates" which lay on top of the wheel. (See attached). I was wondering, where could I buy replacement wheels and rims, for cheap? This kit is in 1/24 scale, and so I would probably need those wheels. Is there a certain place I could buy? Do they need to be modified heavily to work with certain kits? You can probably tell, I am pretty new to this Thank you for reading.

I’m new to building Scale models and this “White Freightliner” kit by AMT (1:25) is my first ever model I’ve ever built. I am very hooked on this hobby and I look forward to seeing everyone else’s builds and pick everyone’s brains a little bit.

Getting back into some hot rod modeling I am trying to find the best / most accurate parts to build a '50's to early '60's T bucket model in 1/25th scale. I have been out of the hobby for some time, but I have been digging through my stash and I realized I do have a wide selection of parts and kits to work from. In my stash: Revell Vintage Parts Pack T Bucket Chassis - complete Vintage Parts Pack '23 T Bucket body - complete Vintage parts Pack Speed Equipment - complete New Reissuse Roth's Tweedie Pie Butterra Chassis T Sedan and Phaeton - well detailed but too new for my current tastes for a chassis AMT Vintage Street Rod Series '23 T Full Fendered Roadster - complete Vintage Street Rod Series '25 Tall T Coupe - complete Various Double T kit parts and model - built-ups Parts Pack Drag T Chassis MPC Tognotti's T Show Rod - Started but no paint - some sub assemblies BlackJack T Street Rod Any suggestions? I want to do something like Tommy Ivo's T or the Kookie Car to early 50's in style and maybe a Rat Rod. I am impatiently waiting for my local shop to get in the double T kit and the '25T fruit wagon kits. Online dealers maybe cheaper but the shipping makes them more expensive IMO. What do you think of the suspension from the '29 A truck from Revell? Some pics of my sta-a-a-a-sh!
