MonoPed Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Johan kit, decals from Firebird Designs, Tamiya paints.
Stray Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 pretty sweet looking racer there dude. Great finish and a clean build. Kudos
DumpyDan Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Man oh man that is one good looking AMC. Don't see many, great job.
tubbs Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 beautiful build. nice and clean. and the photography is outstanding also.
Snake45 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Very nice, very clean build! What's not to like? Special respect for staying with factory-correct black plug wires instead of opting for something more "colorful."
slusher Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Fantastic build and very clean. Just don't see many...
Monty Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Another very well done (typical) build from Monoped. Brian, couple questions: 1) What specific paint did you use on the engine? 2) Did you sub in a dual exhaust from another kit?
MonoPed Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Another very well done (typical) build from Monoped. Brian, couple questions: 1) What specific paint did you use on the engine? 2) Did you sub in a dual exhaust from another kit? 1. That is nail polish/paint, Sinful Colors #104 Aqua. Very close to the 1:1 color, and cheap! 2. No, those are the kit parts, but I drilled holes and added pins to connect them to the exhaust manifolds, and did the same to the chrome tips.
Crazy Ed Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Brian, Very Nice, Clean and Straight Up build. AMC is sadly so under represented in the Model World.

Sportabout Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 (edited) Nice scrambler. Better can't be built out of the box, It is shame Jo-Han used in this kit '66 Rogue 2DHT body with convertible interior, slightly updated old 327 V8, torque tube tranny and wrong rear end.
