om617 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Revell kit i got in a trade. Started with badly bend a-pillars,broken wipers, warped hood and badly bend decals sheet, lucky no cracks. So when you do trades, check the box as soon as you get it lol. I did not like this kit to be honest, the Chargers go together much better,or easy might some say. What i did. Sanded down the wheel arches, only body mod. Used steelies who did not fit the new Parts Pack Polyglas so i added chrome rings to get correct dimenson. Missing Link hubcaps. White Tamiya primer and Tamiya bright red color,no clear. Painted the foglights/driving lights yellow. I used the custom aircleaner and hood, the hemi hood was badly bend. The ride hight is on the custom setting where you "should use" custom wheels. Did some ignition wires and distributor from Parts By Parks and battery wires. I`m going to go try build another one where hopefully the body is decent shape. Here are some pictures. Thanks for looking, comments are welcome. Started to rain so had to hurry inside.
Burnout Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Beautiful model! I like the rain affect in the photos too!

426-Hemi Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 NIICE 'Cuda.... did it come withthe hood you have on it? I too have a '70 model that I'm planning out and I'm not not sure I'm really into the hood that came withthe car..... Its the AAR hood...... I'd like to do something just a bit different and the pitchfork hood looks good on the '70 (I think) so......

There are two separate hoods, grills, and wheels in it. You are maby refering to the older AAR version from Monogram. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm glad you decided not to use a clear coat because your build looks more like a 1:1 car of an era when the auto companies were using single-stage enamels. The shine is beautiful, which is a testament to the paint as well as your ability to apply it correctly. In addition, you chose a great color. Unlike classic Corvettes, we rarely see 'Cudas like this in red, so it's a nice change from Sub Lime, Plum Crazy or Moulin Rouge. You mentioned some wiring etc. Would it be possible to see some engine and chassis pics?

You'd be correct, mine is however the older AAR version, it came molded in Lime Light green (Plymouth) from Monogram.....

Yes ignition and battery, not really much to show, all the chrome stuff looks better under two eyes then camera. Edited April 7, 2015 by om617
