crazyjim Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 This is a Galaxie kit that has frenched head lights, tail lights, and license plate; '50 Olds engine that's all wired & plumbed; tubbed the rear end for larger tires; rolled the pans front & rear; color is HOK apple red kandy over cinder red.
Foxer Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 kind of .. BEAUTIFUL! ... I'd say. ... everything about it.. love this one!
Mister Twister Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Nice work Jim...That paint looks super slick!
Ramfins59 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 That's a great looking Chevy Jim. That color is almost a blood red, and so smooth.
spencer1984 Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 I always liked the lines of these, and you did a great job with the custom touches!
crazyjim Posted April 9, 2015 Author Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) Thanks John & Lee. You got that right, SHINY :) RULES! Someone mentioned to me at the Billetproof show, "If it ain't SHINY, you can kiss my hiney". I like it. Edited April 9, 2015 by crazyjim
horsepower Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Nice build, I like the Olds to Chevy swap, it was a popular swap in the late fifties, I still have a Trans-dapt adapter for one hanging in the garage. It's amazing how that color and base combo looks so close to the Testors Metalflake Red, I like your ideas but if I build a semi clone I think I'll use the Olds grille from the '48 Ford custom kit.
bogger44 Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 That's a great looking Chevy, and an excellent color choice.
