Chuck Most Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Just wrapped up this one- the plan is for it to end up alongside a rundown looking Texaco station with a couple others. I might still add a partially torn down engine, toss some trash in the interior, and put some tree leaves and sap on it, but other than that it's close enough for a cigar anyway. It may also end up with a few old fenders stacked against the sides. If I don't add an engine I'll probably lift the nose a couple of scale inches too. 1
Rotorbolt73 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Thats really slick. Love building a junker every now and then..excellent work..
Chuck Most Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 how did you do the rust? Duplicolor "rust" primer, and some of it is real rust- mixed in with 70% alcohol and applied with a brush.
StevenGuthmiller Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 That's pretty cool Chuck! The only thing missing are the "obligatory" bullet holes. Steve
mrknowetall Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Oh wow! Where's Thommy Geiger? He'd be all over this. D'ohh! He's in Salt Lake City for the GSL!
thatz4u Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 (edited) Chuck, nice old relic, I'm not into rust that much, but I like this one.. Like your website also Edited May 1, 2015 by thatz4u
Drake69 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 The ONLY thing I see missing from this awesome build is cancer eating holes in the fenders. Other than that little thing.... incredible rust work!
Guest Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Outstanding! But the seats are way too nice. What he said.
Sledsel Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Looks sweet. I think you should BMF the grill and bumpers and tear sections off. Give it the pealing chrome look
DumpyDan Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Looks great, really like the bumper..........Well done
Stray Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Top job derelicting that. Spot on weathering and all. I kind of doubt that a car that's been sitting that long would still have perfect air in the tires though.
LoneWolf15 Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Beautiful work , buddy ! Best you hide this from The Crankster or it could disappear into the lab , never to be seen again .....
charlie8575 Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Very nice, Chuck. The door removal was very clean. Charlie Larkin
