Vric Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 I recently had a 60s F1 interest and I started with this Honda F1 RA272 from Tamiya. I used some part from Accustation. Hope you enjoy!
afx Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Another nice one. I have Hasegawa's 1/24 scale kit that is on my must build some day list
Belugawrx Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 That is slick Eric Just out of curiosity, what did you use on the pipes to get that bronze heated look? Stunning finish and detail on that Cheers
Vric Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 (edited) Thanks for all the great comments! That is slick Eric Just out of curiosity, what did you use on the pipes to get that bronze heated look? Stunning finish and detail on that Cheers I use many shades of Alclad Paint. In that case, it's a base coat of "Steel" (or Magnesium, both are close), then Exhaust Manifold (this color give the whole "dark bronze color") then finish the extremity with Burnt Iron with a few accent here and there. You have to use an airbrush for this, but Alclad paint are really great to work with! Edited May 14, 2015 by Vric
Nacho Z Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Beautiful model, Eric! Great job with the photography too. It makes it so much more enjoyable looking at a model that is properly photographed.
Dirtracer22 Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Looks great! Detail is super clean. My kinda build.
