BigTallDad Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 When I was sixteen (and rainbows were still in black & white) dad bought me a 1947 Chevy Fleetline.A little poetic license with the engine colors But the plug wires are in the correct firing order (which is actually on the kit's exhaust manifold in raised letters; see previous pic, to the right of the oil filter) And the bottom side, taken through the clear plastic base The cigar-smelling interior Had that '47 Chevy for about a year BTW the Galaxie kit is SUPERB; ya gotta build one of these
Sidney Schwartz Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Completely awesome, as usual. A beautiful build of a beautiful car. Do you use BMF for your chrome?
BigTallDad Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 I didn't use any BMF. All the chrome you see was provided in the kit.
wayne swayze Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 You sure do nice work on your models. That's a beauty! Oddly, when I was 17, I bought a '47 Pontiac Silver Streak, which looked very much like your car.
Foxer Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) That's what I call a fun build .. your first car! Mine was a '51 Plymouth (those black & white rainbows wouldn't reflect in the old paint) and a tougher car to find. I have a resin '49 with big plans .. eheheh Edited May 16, 2015 by Foxer
