Chillyb1 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 (edited) This is Ebbro and Tamiya's collaboration, the Citroen 2CV fourgonnette, a light truck that saw much use in France and elsewhere for several decades. I've decided to build it as a commercial vehicle very heavily used by its owner. It has been maintained in name only and "fixed" as needed to keep it in running order. One rear body panel has been replaced by a piece of sheet metal welded in place and then forgotten. Edited May 21, 2015 by Chillyb1
kilrathy10 Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Now, that's an interesting build....Very nice work, too.....The weathering is spot on....That is just, too cool....
Foxer Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 cool subject and story ... well done weathering, not overdone. ))
Chillyb1 Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 Thanks for looking. I forgot to mention the roof rack: the owner made it himself using readily available materials and attaching the thing to the roof with muffler clamps.
bbowser Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 That is really neat! Very convincing weathering, I like it a lot.
crazyrichard Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 yuup looking great !! a real used workers ..........
peter31a Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I really like that one. Nice job ageing that little truck. Kudos!
Chillyb1 Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 Ask and ye shall receive: Very nice, and way cool! Any engine/chassis pics?
dublin boy Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Very nice, I remember seeing lots of them back in the day when we went to France on Holidays when I was a kid. Loads of DS's still on the road then too. The Renault 4 van was very popular here back then, the Post Office used to have lots of them painted green. LOL
Dominik Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 the weathering Looks very good! well done...cool details. I like the idea with the changed sidepanel. and somebody has stolen the mirrors ! thieves everywhere...unbelievable there is one mistake on the kit, that i made too and another modeller told it to me as tip: the Fourgonnette had no turnsignals on the front quarter Panels. they used the same kit from the "stock dug", thats why the parts are inside. Take a look at the boxart that doesn't matter. your model Looks pretty good!
