DeeCee Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Here is a different take on the ol' Boyd kit. I had a bit of fun with this one. Added a streamline nose, and a bit of HORSEPOWER!! Perfect for the salt flats.
peter31a Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Very cool! The Aluma Coupe does seem a natural for the salt flats.
Chuck Most Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I think this is, by far, the coolest re-interpretation of this kit I've ever seen. Very cool!
Zarana-X Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 That looks great!, and I hate the original version. Really suits the body, like it was intended for this all along.
Twokidsnosleep Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Lots of scratch work went into this kit to make it look this good Well done sir!!!
bill_67 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 This is a very unique, I love seeing different takes on kits. Fantastic work.
Helix Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Nice work Dale, like how you added salt weathering to give the effect of high speed travel
DeeCee Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 Cheers all, and thanks, i just like to build a little left field, i look at box art, and instructions as a rough idea of what you may like to build, but that is as far as it usually ever goes.
spencer1984 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Excellent work, I like the Aluma Coupe in racing trim!
DeeCee Posted June 3, 2015 Author Posted June 3, 2015 Thanks guys, Bill, i thought it looked like a fast body before i did this, now its definitely a racer.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 A LOT better looking than the original thing.
VEGADETH Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I have to agree , 1 of the best I've seen done using this kit.
PatW Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 That's brilliant Dale, I've built two of these but didn't think of the salt!
