Porscheman Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 This Caddy had 2 things going against it, 1st it was molded in that ugly Johan green and 2nd the original builder painted it Rustoleum satin black. It took 1 week of soaking in Purple Power to get all the paint off, but still the plastic was stained from the Rustoleum. I primed it Tamiya's primer grey and then 4 coats of Tamiya's silver mica and finished the paint off with 4 coats of Testors wet look clear. The interior was done in Tamiya's semi-gloss black and I tinted the glass with 3 very light coats of Tamiya's clear blue. Let me know what you think. Al

BigTallDad Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Great recovery, especially considering what you had to work with. That color is right on!
cobraman Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Beautiful ! You sure have a knack for bringing life back into these old builds.
mustang1989 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I have developed a great respect for glue bomb builders. They seem to require a whole lot more attention than something outta tha box in my experience. What a job you've done with this!!!! Great job Al! Great job!
