jkelleycrna Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) I built this kit 2 years ago, as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend. It's the Italeri 1/24 1933 Cadillac Town Car. I used Testors Pearl White rattle can spray paint (lacquer) on the exterior, which was, without a doubt, the worst paint I've ever used in my life. Despite this, she loved it. The build itself was trouble-free, and the kit was a very enjoyable experience. Edited June 7, 2015 by jkelleycrna
gnygren Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Woww! That's a lot of white. Great looking car just the same. Gary
wayne swayze Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Very classy automobile. I have one in my stash, but was afraid to touch it, in case I messed it up. Wish this kit had wire wheels!
Dave Van Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) Great work......paint looks fine. I too like that kit. I used Tamiya pearl white over their white primer......leaving the roof flat white. Tamiya is ALWAYS great....... Funny our builds are almost the same. Mine was built like some big movie stars real car....but forget who she was! It is a decent kit. The multi part body goes together well......2011 build.... Here are mine.... And a hot rodded version..... Edited June 7, 2015 by Dave Van

Eshaver Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Folks , thank you all for sharing the Built car ! I have long wondered as to what it looked like assembled . I have a Los Angles diorama idea in mind . Now I know one of these is very doable !
Dave Van Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Folks , thank you all for sharing the Built car ! I have long wondered as to what it looked like assembled . I have a Los Angles diorama idea in mind . Now I know one of these is very doable ! They go together very well.....I was surprised how little 'fixin' the kit needed. Here is a in progress.......love to see a LA diorama......
Dave Van Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 The kit is based on Joan Crawford's black car. I remember that from the instructions..... But while doing net search for info during build I found a photo of the white on white car of another starlet.....liked it better!! Just forgot who!
Grumpa Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Gotta tell ya James. You may have hated the paint, but it sure looks good on this car! Nice build!
unclescott58 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Partly inspired by what I see here, I just ordered the convertible sedan version of this kit. I love those big multi cylinder classic cars. Scott
landman Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Here's mine. I think Greta Garbo had one too.
PARTSMARTY Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 They all look like beautiful builds of an iconic car !!!
Dave Van Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Here's mine. I think Greta Garbo had one too. That's the one!!! Nice build and thanks for giving the name to go with it!!!
