Porscheman Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) Here's another ebay gluebomb promo brought back to life. This one was in pretty bad shape when it arrived, but it was only $13.00, so I think it was worth it. This was molded in off white and was missing the glass and the front and rear bumpers. I got the bumpers from The Modelhaus and the rear and side glass were cut out of clear sheet plastic. For the windshield, I used one from my parts box and it was from a 65 Riviera and it fit as close as I was going to get it. The body was primed with Dupl-color Red Primer and then painted Dupli-color Medium Quasar Metallic and then 3 coats of Testors Wet Look Clear. The interior was done with Tamiya's Semi Gloss Black and the glass was tinted with 3 light coats of Tamiya's Clear Blue. BMF, The Detailer Black Wash and The Treatment Model Wax finished it out. The roof was crushed at the front, so the front pillars had to be straighten as much as I could without breaking them, not the best up close, but can't see them from my house. I think it came out OK, but let me know what you think Al Edited June 18, 2015 by Porscheman
TimNYC Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Brother Al, looks nice! A lot nicer than the 66 I see in my 'hood periodically... Tim
Porscheman Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) Thank you guys. This is another one that I searched for, for years. Most of them are either to expensive or they are the ones that AMT hacked up to make their modified series. Al Edited June 18, 2015 by Porscheman
Porscheman Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) You sure are on a roll Al. Another nice one. Thank you Rich. The weather has been so nice and I have a lot to restore and besides, I had to get some done to make room for the 2 Moebius Ford pickups and Revell's Del Rio that will be here tomorrow. unclescott58 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Looks great! Just in the last month I built simular '67 Falcon that I picked up unbuilt in the box. But, I didn't pay only $13.00 for mine. Very nice save. Scott

smellyfatdude Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 That's gorgeous! My late aunt had a red ' 66, and I've always liked those cars. Great work!
Porscheman Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 Thank you so much everyone. I really have a soft spot for this somewhat forgotten Ford. Al
Grumpa Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Really nice save Al. It's nice to see restorations on these types of kits, rather then their being tossed out. Nice job!
