lms329 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 This is the first model I have gotten done in over a year. I know there are some mistakes but I think it turned out ok. The color is testors diamond dust. Since for some reason I can not get the pics to upload, here is a link to them https://www.flickr.com/photos/acl84/sets/72157652554277713
High octane Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Very nice build on that 'Vette. I may have one of those kits in my "stash."
Monty Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 I've always got time to stop and look at a nicely built C3. Hopefully a moderator will send you a PM telling you how to upload those pics. What paint did you use on the body?
lms329 Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 What paint did you use on the body? I used testors one coat lacquer diamond dust with testors wet look clear.
Monty Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 I used testors one coat lacquer diamond dust with testors wet look clear. My apologies. You mentioned that in the first post but I was apparently in too much of a hurry to get to the pics.
Speedfreak Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Very nice Andrew. Two queries; How did you get the steering wheel so smooth, and , the grill looks excellent, is it from the kit?
lms329 Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 Thanks everyone. . Two queries; How did you get the steering wheel so smooth, and , the grill looks excellent, is it from the kit? As for the steering wheel I really am not sure how it come out so smooth I just brush painted it with flat tan enamel. The grill is from the kit. I used The Detailer black wash for the detail. .
jaymz1967 Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Turned out really nice. Is that the Revell Roadster 2'n1 kit? I just started that kit and the Corvette emblem or letters on the tail light panel are nearly non existent. Is that foil you used or are they painted?
