Since then it had been in storage, during which time it lost a few parts so I decided it was ripe for restoration. The paint was stripped from the body, which was then sanded down and repainted. The bed was painted a sandy colour, given a coat of clear orange and trimmed with BMF. I was pleased with how it turned out. Let's hope it lasts another 35 years.
