Ditto on the Willys....I bought this for parts....have a few in stash.

The 330 shows bench but buckets inside.

If the stock 330 box has a red car, the kit will have the A-100 bucket seats.  (Earlier) kits with a light blue car on the box will have the bench seat.

I hit our local Ollies to see what they had; mostly all Lindberg with one or two AMT examples. I'll go back and grab a Cougar II, Don Nicholson Impala, maybe a Color Me Gone Dodge, and maybe a Chrysler Atlantic concept car and another Auburn Speedster. seeing almost the entire Lindberg sector of Round2's catalog on clearance makes me think R2 might be thinking of ending production of that line. I think I might get two of those Cougar kits.... Mr Obsessive did such an excellent job on his........

Mine had no Cougar II or I'd got one.

I understand this is old warehouse stock left from the old Lindberg which rumor has it they over produced big time. Just a way for R2 to re-coup some carital. IMHO ONLY!

No Cougar II kits in my area (would have snagged one if I'd seen them), but I did pick up an MPC HOT ROD '73 Mustang funny car.  Mostly Lindberg stuff (I'd have grabbed a Dakota had it been molded in white, got enough red ones!), only a handful of Round 2 items (couple of curbside 'Vettes, couple of snap-together Willys, and the Mustang).

I remember the story about the Lindberg over production.  That led to the initial offering at Ollies maybe 3-4 years ago.  Ollies advertised it as a warehouse fire sale, only none of the kits smelled of smoke or had any damage.  Also peculiar that the fire destroyed all the desirable Lindberg kits, but left the less desirable kits undamaged.  We knew better.  Per your comment it looks as if Round 2 absorbed the remainders of that inventory. I cannot see an Ollies holding back merchandise 3-4 years since their whole operation depends on quick throughput of closeout stuff.

My Ollies did have a few very good kits last time!!!! Or at least to me!!!

They had those 4 foot long Zepplins for $20 each....grabbed two!!

As far as models go, Ollies doesn't seem to be interested in "equal distribution" at all. One store will get several cases of Kit A but not a single example of Kit B; another store will have Kit B stacked to the rafters but no Kit As. What YOUR store has is all a matter of luck.

They probably just move shrink wrapped skids that were packed by the entity they bought them from.  So what's ever in one, goes to that store.

Their Duplicolor paint display looks like that too...  they'll have four different undesirable  colors, 50 cans or more of each.

remember, that 330 should have everything you need to convert the new 65 Plymouth to an A990 hemi  car. including the roof, if you are into roof swapping. I will have to get there for a few of them.

just to clarify, the "BLUE" car was a max wedge car. "color me gone". the red car was the "ramchargers" and was the hemi version. lots of different parts in these. grille, hood scoop and front seats to name a few. I used up all my hemicars. the "maverick" version was slightly different too.

I'd be patient and wait a bit...I'm betting Moebius will be doing the A-990 themselves at some point.  Extra Lindberg underbodies are good for slipping under Jo-Han bodies, though.

Looks like the wheels and tires from the Monogram '32 Cadillac would be a big help in improving the Auburn's appearance.

Yes, the Auburn wheels and tires are too small in the Lindbergh kit; they were more accurate in the original Pyro version, but they were 2-part plastic wheel/tire molded together. However, the Auburn is 1/25, so you'd need to check compatibility with the Cadillac.

true Mark, I am waiting also. the roof on the kit now is a hardtop, from my recollection, most of the hemi cars were sedans. will they change the roof. that would be the cool thing to do.... not to steer the post away from it's original content. you can't get $8 kits at shows anymore. have to get me some.

There's no Ollie's around here, but if somebody  was willing to buy teh DonNicholson Chevy, '64 Dodge 330, and a Gremlin Grabber, I'd be more than happy to pay for the kits and shipping.

snagged a Cougar II, the Dyno Don Chevy, and a Maverick '64 Dodge. HAD to grok all of them this evening, especially the Cougar as I've never attempted that kit, and sure enough the windshield in the Dodge is split right down the middle, just like the very first Color Me Gone kit I bought... however, one broken piece in a closeout kit isn't enough to make me run crying back to Ollies, I'll work around it. Form some acetate or clear styrene.

The Cougar kit is very interesting, typical IMC overdoing the working parts (only the hood is mentioned on the box) and loaded to the gunwales with chrome.... BTW on inspection, NONE of the kits had parts loose from the trees, warped parts, or short shots. Those Dodge kits simply have too much packed in the box for it's size... Lindberg really put some effort into that stretch of time, too bad they couldn't stand alone and keep producing new tools of the same or better caliber.

My pick at Ollies? short staffing. a manager had to open a register to get things moving today. otherwise, neat store.
