James2 Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 The recently released Monogram 57 Ford Del Rio. Sitting on a set of Revell 32 Ford wheels and tires. Lowered the front, wired the engine and basically weathered for that slightly used look. Tamiya Racing White and MCW Coral Sand polished without clear. Got a little junk in the back and a few decals, thought it would make a cool support vehicle at the track.
wayne swayze Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Another great build! Wheels, paint, foil work...all look good!

slusher Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Very sharp wagon James, i really like the color choices..
James2 Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Thanks to all for the nice comments. This was a great kit to put together and other than a few instructional miscues it is a well engineered piece. It might take a bit of imagination to get the front lower than I did, but could be done. The interior is very easy to put together and dresses up well.I enjoyed putting the engine and chassis together and it only took weathering to make it pop. All the fit and finish for all the pieces where well thought out.The color is a 57 Ford factory choice, Carol Sand and my choice for using it was basically because I hadn't seen it used yet. The "Support Vehicle" themeseemed natural to me. The weathering and spots in the paint help give this wagon that used feel and over all turned out pretty nice. Thanks again for the interest, J2.
Reeves Racing Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Great job. Very crisp and clean, the colors are perfect.
