GLMFAA1 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) Had this Revell Dodge 440 for years and never decided what to do with, Well I wanted to add one of the old NYPD paint scheme pd cars to my collection and this car has 4 doors. I left the 440 bling on it as I didn't want to do all the labor intensive sanding and filling and interesting is the model is engraved deeper on one side than the other. I used the Johan Plymouth PD car parts and decals. Painted in Tamiya green, black and Walmart white spray can, It is ficticious model as the sirens weren't roof mounted until 63. Hey I'm in Ohio.http://media.fotki.com/1_p,rrgkksqdwkgfkkwxwbfrddsrftbss,vi/bwggwqstkxbwtrqsbqdxsbqwbwgbd/8/3457628/13265735/P1040269-vi.jpghttp://public.fotki.com/GLMFAA1/my-first-album/p1040272.htmlhttp://media.fotki.com/1_p,rrgkkwbfwdksrgkxwbfrddsrftbss,vi/rqfqbsgwdxwrsrwkrgdxttrdssqbf/8/3457628/13265735/P1040271-vi.jpggreg Edited October 30, 2015 by GLMFAA1
NYNS Franky Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Great work Greg! And I'm not just saying that since I'm from N.Y. :-) I picked up Roscoes police car and NYPD green to replicate a one to one I found online. Have to find some decals now. Thanks for sharing and stirring up an interest to getting mine complete!Frank

Curt Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Very nice vintage cruiser. You put that kit to good use.
Aaronw Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 That is nice, NY had a weird but very distinctive color scheme back then.
jefropas Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Awesome build! There's a guy in my town with an old restored squad exactly like this, he takes it to the local shows, and its a sleeper/screamer...he used to drive it on an EVOC course and rip it up too...nice! Jeff
darthsideous Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Nice work, I always enjoy police cars!
