cobraman Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 This model was just for fun and to try to do something different with a Cobra for my collection. No chassis detail more like a slammer I guess. Anyway, I filled the bumper holes and molded the trunk and portion of hood I used. Front axle from the parts box as well as front tires and wheels and the chute. Engine bay cover is just sheet plastic. Aluminum tubing used as the exhaust which exit in tail light area. Paint is Gray with blue stripes and then cleared. Comments always welcome pro or con.
bobthehobbyguy Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Nice work. Reminds me ofsome of the early drag cars. Too many jelly bean cars these days. Not enough creativity. Definitely something different.
MeatMan Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Just when you thought you'd seen every possible Cobra iteration! Very nice.
John Teresi Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Ray........that`s cool turned out great........you built that fast too
cobraman Posted November 19, 2015 Author Posted November 19, 2015 Thank you much fellows. I'm always trying to build something different to stand out in my collection of "normal" Cobras. They may be silly but they are different. : )
wayne swayze Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Very out of the box thinking on this one Ray! Sure is different!
Nytrozilla Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Impressive all around as per normal. Even when there's nothing "normal" about it.
madhorseman Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Cool Ray, Looks like it could have been raced in the 60's, there were some wild creations then Ya know.
cobraman Posted November 19, 2015 Author Posted November 19, 2015 Thanks guys. What can I do to mess up another Cobra ??
Crazy Ed Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) 4X4 or 1/2 Track.......................... Edited November 19, 2015 by Crazy Ed
chunkypeanutbutter Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Full custom. Double headlights, wire wheels on whitewall tires, candy paintjob...
futurattraction Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) Looks good Ray! The blue from your stripes and the blue lines on your slicks even look to match! Was that by choice or by chance? Edited November 19, 2015 by futurattraction
cobraman Posted November 19, 2015 Author Posted November 19, 2015 Thanks and hey ya, I planned it that way. I'm lying, never even thought of that !
