Good job. Any engine shots?

Nice to see one of my old favorites replicated so well.  If possible, I'd also be interested in seeing some engine and chassis shots.

I've never built anything made by Italeri, so I'm curious how well engineered this kit was.  Would you say it was kinda fiddly or fairly straightforward?

Italeri also made a 1/16 version of this kit, which to me is the best of all 300 SL kits. It's basically a scaled-up version of the 1/24, but with more detail parts plus chrome badging instead of decals. The one bothersome thing in both kits is an inaccurate windshield shape, but that can be conquered without a lot of trouble.

Really nice to see a 300SL build especially a roadster. Great looking model of a great looking car.  I have had this kit along with every Gullwing kit available for years. It is about time I built one. Canada's new Prime Minister has a 300SL roadster he inherited from his father. It was restored here in Victoria by one of the top 300SL restorers whose shop I have visited so I have few excuses.
