I dont like mixers , perhaps because they were always on the job sites I worked making a big mess.  But that is a superb and very real looking model you have !

I cant believe your going to give it away , but very impressed with the courtesy to the company .

Justin- thanks ! Im hoping to build a snow plow  next, yours was fantastic!

JT- your killing me !!! Glad ya like it, something different seems to find its way onto my bench

Sean- Yeah, mixers can sure make a mess of a job site..but their a necessary evil ! Someone gotta "pour" the foundation . Glad ya like. it I'm not planing on parting with the model, just showing them how it turned out after all the help they provided

Ken- thanks, it took wayyyy longer than expected. but figuring out every part, bracket, and building it properly takes time.

Thanks everyone for their comments, it makes the work worth it!  I'll take a few close ups later

Wonderful execution Jeff!  Please do share with us the reactions from the company!

And be careful!  When I showed my sister in law a model I built of her first car, she assumed I was giving it to her... so I wound up doing so!

Thanks!

The Michelin off road tires were designed by kj Humphreys,  then cast by gary wallace.  Sorry I didn't mention, the entire Neway Air ride suspension was from Gary, this was the first model it's been on! I'll take a few pics of the underside, .

The barrel was 3d printed and resin cast....ya never know , now the possibility of someone building their own mixer could be possible. ..

Close ups of the interior, including the  " slump" gauge! LOL  The radio handset  is hanging just inside the window and the exterior antennas

The details....

The chute drive chain was sourced from  a 1/12 scale Tamiya motor bike...I ordered just the sprue for this !! best 4 bucks I spent

Thanks for looking !

I'm sure I have a few in progress pics laying around,  midway through I accidentally deleted all the wip pics off my phone, but saved quite a few.

Should I start a separate post for wip pics, or just add them here?

Since this build wasn't posted, I wanted to show a few pics of the project

The chutes were started life as normal .020 sheet, emersed in near boiling water, after taping to pvc tube. I had to laminate each section for the over hang.

The first stage..under platform , needed a curved end. I tried tons of ideas, then found a measuring spoon that had exactly the shape I wanted!!!! Modeling supplies are everywhere !! Remove the spoon, graft onto plastic chute.and add putty..DONE !! The blue ring will attach the chute to the platform, and act like the drive ring that allows the chute to rotate. Its from a pill bottle..tip from the car builders for tubbing chassis

This lil guy..nicknamed a "teacup" by the drivers, gave me a few restless nights. Plastic doesn't like to stay curved this way..it always wants to spring back. I found a CHEAP funnel at autozone, removed a section, and formed the  teacup like the chutes. Worked awesome!! This is actualy the resin cast one after returning from having the master cast..another part that maybe available someday..

The discharge chute was CAD  drawn by KJ, then 3d printed, the compund curves made this part difficult to form normally.

Another key part on any mixer is the water tank, tubing from pvc drain pipe..water hand valves made from small pulleys, and the clear level gage is stretched sprue.I ran a red sharpie down it for the stripe seen in pics:D

The true part of any truck...the chassis..during test fit of the pedestals, air tanks and driveline

close up of the transfer case mount..

thanks for looking !

Thanks for the comments! There was several times I'm sure to have added a few gray hairs, but the end result was worth it.

Tom- I tried really hard to take good pics too...guess I have to work on that...lol Thanks
