gtx6970 Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 (edited) I know this was mentioned in a few other threads . But other than it was announced they were coming back out under Moebius box art.Anyone heard any updates as to when ? Edited November 27, 2015 by gtx6970
Brett Barrow Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 (edited) I've had to field more questions at work about this moldy oldy than any new-tool release of the past year... Edited November 27, 2015 by Brett Barrow
Rob Hall Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I've had to field more questions at work about this moldy oldy than any new-tool release of the past year...Which is odd, as it is essentially an unassembled promo w/ maybe 15 pieces? No where near the level of detail that Moebius is known for...
Brett Barrow Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Which is odd, as it is essentially an unassembled promo w/ maybe 15 pieces? No where near the level of detail that Moebius is known for...I know, and I'm not even listing it as Moebius, just Model King using the boxart from the planned IHC version. I think I have more pre-orders for this than I did for the Starsky and Hutch Torino.
gtx6970 Posted November 27, 2015 Author Posted November 27, 2015 I keep wanting to pull the trigger on one on Ebay, But knowing it is / might be / supposed to be coming back out holds me back. This one is at the very top of my want to do list.,( I was born in 1959 )
Ramfins59 Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I keep wanting to pull the trigger on one on Ebay, But knowing it is / might be / supposed to be coming back out holds me back. Me too, even though I've already built a couple of the Johan promos...... I used to own a 1:1 '59 Dodge Coronet so I like the car and will probably buy a couple of them when they come out.
charlie8575 Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I'm good for at least one when they get released.Charlie Larkin
DaveM Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I will get a few of them. I tend to like chrome and fins on my shelves.
High octane Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I still have one in my "stash" from JoHan and I believe the price when I bought it was $17.
unclescott58 Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Can you imagine what some modelers are going to say if this is ever reissued. Poor chassis detail. No engine. Not even an interior on the last one I got. When, or if, this ever gets reissued, wait for the bitching to begin. (Not from me. I welcome these old kits in what ever form they may come.)
Ramfins59 Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 In the last order that I placed with Modelhaus back in October and received about 3 weeks ago, I got 2 '59 Dodge interiors and 2 sets of chromed taillight bezels for the car. I have about 4 sets of the '59 Dodge Lancer spinner hubcaps in my stash (my all time favorite spinner hubcap). I can't wait for this to be issued.
keyser Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I've got an original builder that's mint, and a great Modelhaus convertible. But I still want a few. I'm calling 3 weeks before first "buyer beware, lousy detail kit" thread like the one on the '66 Mustang. Pretty funny, a couple guys know better but act like its a crime to re-issue old tools. Old tools should like old tools.
om617 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Would be in for a couple, make a convertible and maby try full detail on one.Got one original kit fixer in good shape, will not chop into that one.
Deathgoblin Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Definitely getting one of those. Maybe Moebius could do a transkit with the engine and chassis details? Please?

Unfortunately, I have never had one but I know exactly what to expect and being a model car builder if I think that the car needs anything else I will add it as I am building it with no problems and no complaints because to me that's what model building is all about, building it the way that you want it and enjoying the heck out of it. And trust me, I enjoy ALL of them especially the 66 Mustang that is on another thread here. The less they have the more I'll give it and absolutely love it because I'm having fun. I think I'll buy 3. Thank you. Jeff
