hedotwo Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Not the greatest build, but thought I'd share my satisfaction with the Camelot Rose I covered it with. I mixed up a brew of Folk Art Metallic Plum, Metallic Silver Sterling, and Metallic Pearl White and finished with a Future finish. Looking back, I'd have used a dab more white but overall I like it.
fseva Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 I would never have known it was done in acrylics! Nice job!
hedotwo Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 Thanks, guys, for agreeing with me on my color choice. I like working with the craft acrylics and being able to mess with shades and color combos. And using them in combination with Future seems no-brainer easy, at least to me. The older I get, the no-brainer part gets more important
GTJUNIOR Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Love the colour, reminds me of the 80's Mercedes colour that was marketed as petrol green. It was very popular here in South Africa. The model looks well built too, nice work.
disabled modeler Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Nice looking build...love the big cars they had class and power.
Crusader101 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Great color, beautiful job!It seems that using Future gives the car a more period correct shine as opposed to the high gloss sheen of a regular clear coat.
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Really like your custom color, and that continental kit makes it look a lot longer...but not quite 62 feet.
DumpyDan Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Looks good to me, I am working on that kit but mine is a Low Rider

I agree about the Future having that right amount of gloss for builds like this. Thanks for all the comments... appreciation to all of you
Crusader101 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I like this color so much that I'm going to try my hand at mixing your same acrylics. Looks classy on the Buick and is era correct.Did you airbrush the Future?
Eric Macleod Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I agree with the others. This is one to be proud of. Great colors and foil work.
