Eric Macleod Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 Nothing not to like here. I enjoyed the story and photos. I agree, it's time for a good 26-7 T runabout body. AMT.
Jantrix Posted March 7, 2018 Posted March 7, 2018 Outstanding. My hats off to both of you. It just doesn't get any more "classic hot rod" than that.
Dennis Lacy Posted March 10, 2018 Author Posted March 10, 2018 Wow, back from the dead! Thanks for the additional comments, guys!
Greg Myers Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Certainly worthy of another look and a little prodding toward Revell.
T.Henry Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 I would sell my house, my wife, even the dog, but no way I would part with a car like that. Just saying...

I sold it to buy a house and give my bride a wedding. The dog was free. Besides, I still have a '32 Ford hot rod so it's all good.

James2 Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Great Hot Rod, Greater Story and Good Friends. What's not to like about it...

tim boyd Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Ran across this thread again while looking for Dennis' latest projects....certainly among the finest '27T Turtledeck models I've ever seen. Well worth another look, guys. And kudos to DL for doing the right thing vis-a-vis selling it to help give his wife a wedding and a new home. Big picture priorities well sorted here. TB 1

And, at least I still have the Wife and the House so it wasn’t for nothing! Also looking back, the pictures of the model are terrible quality so here’s some fresher ones. @Rocking Rodney Rat really pulled out all of the stops when he fabricated and painted/weathered this model. Again, I only glued it together. 😎 1
Ragtop Man Posted May 5 Posted May 5 [Drops Mic] I really like the model and the accuracy is awesome... but the 1:1 is a thing of joy. 1
Calb56 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 Cool car but it's a beautifully done model. Such a great weathering job done as well 1
ybsluos Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Dennis, that is awesome! Clean building on the part of Jon and yourself. Nothing like a black private hot rod I always say! – Mark. 1
alan barton Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Its rare for a builder/s to capture every angle, every nuance when building a replica. This one nails it - congratulations to both builders! Cheers Alan 1
