Helix Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Another oldie and my last for 2015..... Typical Jo-Han kit, pretty basic and built straight from the box, all the parts were in good condition. Tamiya TS-88 Titanium Silver, I've taken inside and outside pics so you get the idea Tamiya AS-29 Gray-Green for the interior with Humbrol #150 Forrest Green for the darker shades. The colours look good and blend well together, so that's my idea what a Caddy Convertible should look like and I'd be happy to cruise around in this ! Edited December 28, 2015 by Helix
CometMan Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Nice job! Johan always did make some interesting subjects as long as you are cool with building something that's not super detailed!
Sledsel Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 I do not care if it is super detailed by the manufacturer or the builder, these are very cool and this one is really sharp
peekay Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Good looking model. I haven't yet met a Johan I didn't like.
disabled modeler Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Very nice...! I too am a big fan of the Johan stuff.
afx Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 I like the big Caddy convertibles, nice work Ray.
GTJUNIOR Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Those old caddy's are very cool and your build looks fantastic.
HotRodaSaurus Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Nice model in a great colour . I love these old JoHan Cadillacs, mainly because they produce a few four doors
vintagercr Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Nice clean build.......the color suits it
CometMan Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I do not care if it is super detailed by the manufacturer or the builder, these are very cool and this one is really sharp I did not mean to offend you Andy! I really like the less seen subjects, and I was trying to give Ray a compliment!!
Monty Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Wow, that turned out nice! Great use of authentic-looking colors. Thanks for listing the paints you used - it's always nice to see what other people use to finish their builds.
Helix Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Thanks guys, appreciate all the comments !
Sledsel Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I did not mean to offend you Andy! I really like the less seen subjects, and I was trying to give Ray a compliment!!No offense was taken. Was stating many simple, old tool kits make many of the detailed new tool kits look bad. Especially these old Johans. This kit and build looks great as is. Would not change a thing.
W-409 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 That's a good lookin' Cadillac! I like to see these old kits built and this is a fine example how good these old Jo-Hans look when done right. Good looking paint work and sharp BMF make this one stand out.
