Pay off a few relatives and friends houses, set up a very nice trust for my 2 girls , my  dad, the mother in law  ,,,then  throw one helluva party ,,,,,,,'then vanish

then my 1/25th scale dream garage would turn into a 1/1 scale dream garage only better

Model kits would WAAAAAAAAAAY down the list

Hell, with the kind of money we're talking about, every immediate relative, ie, brothers, sisters, brother & sister in-laws & parents would each get a new house & a million bucks.

The kids would get a big chunk too.

For the wife, a new house.....or 2, & for me, a huge shed big enough for about 30 cars which I would systematically begin to fill with old cars.

Even with all that there would still be a couple hundred million!

I see that reading comprehension remains a problem here in America.

If I'd asked "What would you do if you won the Powerball," it would have been posted down in Off Topic Lounge.

My Special Thanks to those who have posted actually answering the question asked.

And Disabled--Wow! I'm not sure even tonight's Powerball winnings (after taxes) would completely fund the tooling and production of your excellent list. But it would be fun to watch you try. B)

Ha! Exactly what I thought when I read Mark's list! He would need to win several Powerballs to fund all those kits!

But you can't fault the guy for thinking BIG!  B)

According to the News here the Power Ball now stands at 900 million that sounds like enough to buy out Revell And Amt and one can have their own tooling ?

Of course after taxes who knows ?

No kidding. I would for sure have a garage with plenty of toys and some sort of insane way of getting my toys where I want to play. Family taken care of, homes.

Oh, not to mention not working anymore. Live off my savings interest.

I'd be tooling up the entire series of Valiants from 1960 through 1976, full detail kits.  First I'd need to buy a 1:1 of each of these to ship to China for the tooling folks to measure off correctly,   and then for the photos of 1:1s on the box art!  Of course once that's done they'd be shipped back to me.

1960  4 door sedan  (2nd release a Daytona Compact Class racer)

1961 wagon

1962  2 door hardtop

1963 convertible

1964 2 door hardtop  (first year for the 273 V8, all newer kits would have both the V8 and a slant six)

1965 wagon

1966 4 door sedan V100

1967 2 door sedan  V200

1968 4 door sedan  V100

1969  2 door sedan

1970   2 door hardtop Scamp

1971  4 door sedan  Duel car

1972  Australian Valiant Charger

1973  2 door hardtop Scamp

1974 2 door hardtop Scamp

1975  4 door sedan  (taxi / police version)

1976 2 door hardtop Scamp

I'd do a 68 442 for sure!!!!!!! That needs to be kitted some year. Then I'd do some new up to date AMC Hornets, 73 to 77 Hatch and Notch backs!!!!!

Mine is simple. I would do the obvious (take care of family etc) but then I would look into what it would take to keep The Modelhaus in business. After that, maybe fund a couple of kits to be developed. I would consider opening a hobby shop (gonna need a tax write off!) that caters to model building and maybe trains but NO R/C. The type of place that stocks a bunch of kits and has all kinds of supplies and would have a room for builders that needed a spray booth so they could paint year round.

I would also look for a piece of property to erect my barn for my soon to be awesome 1:1 car collection and talk to a couple of friends about commissioning them to find and build a couple of cars and trucks.

I would concentrate on enjoying life and having fun, something winning even a share of the $900 million should provide.

Yes, yes! That's what this thread is ABOUT!

WHICH kits?

At the risk of getting completely laughed off the list. A completely new Vega with Moebius level detail and follow on drag and panel wagon variants.B)

WHICH kits?

Well, I personally would like to see a series of kits of the following:

67-72 GM Pickups as well as a Blazer and Suburban. I know the AMT kits are out there but they are tired. I would like to see shortbed and longbed pickups in both 2wd and 4wd, same with the Blazer and Suburban.

73-87 GM Pickups, Blazer and Suburban- see above

73-90 Dodge Pickup- again like the GMs, short and long beds with 2 & 4wd drivetrain options.

70-75 IH Pickup and Travellall kits, 2 & 4wd option

66-77 Ford Bronco kit

66-70 IH Scout

Modern commercial beds for 1 ton trucks- wrecker bed, dump bed

Modern Medium Duty truck with frame length options to build a dump, flatbed wrecker, wheellift wrecker

I would push for accuracy with all of them, I would hate to compromise or tool up the rarely seen vehicle (like the current 79 Ford pickup or another LRE).

If I was successful in getting The Modelhaus,  I would look to add some resin truck pieces to their offering.

Ok, so I'm not accused of lacking reading comprehension, tooling I would fund would be for more modern truck and trailer kits, especially from my favorite make, Frieghtliner.

1. Freightliner Classic XL (with both 70" and 84" sleeper options

2, Freightliner Cascadia Evolution (so I could build the truck I currently drive)

3. Modern flatbed trailer

4. Modern Nascar style hauler with option to make it a regular exotic/classic hauler like this:

and maybe even a couple of custom combo kits to build fancy rides like this:

5. Modern Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks.

There is tons of other trucks and heavy equipment that I'm sure I'd love to fund, but those are some of my tops.

Now of the rest of life out of the hobby, other than the obvious of paying off not only all my debts, but all of my family and friends debts as well, I would buy a new daily driver and build a new house along with a huge garage for my new classic car collection and probably a couple hobby buildings, one for models and one for a huge building size train layout. If I'd win tonight, I wouldn't just be winning, all my close friends would be too!:D

Would be nice to win the European equivalent of the power ball, called Euromillions, which is tax free.

Then I would book a 1st. class flight, States side and have a meet with some people.

;^)

Never gonna happen though....I've been playing since 2004 and the most I won, was 75 euro ($80 or so)
