50' Olds

Started this a couple of days ago,  Revell 50 Olds kit.

Going basic box build, with a lower stance . Got the engine together, and detailed, a couple of different purples between the chassis , floor pan and engine.

Also managed a few different purples on the roof...  :)

Started with a white base coat.

Then paint, mask, paint, mask, paint, mask,...and it goes on.......

After 25 seperate lines, i got to clear coat it.. :)

And it's actually purple, the camera always make it look blue..... ;)

Then purple base.

Some dark and light fades.

A quick coat of clear, then let it harden over night, then block back, and more clear, then BMF..

THANKS for following. :)

Thanks guys, but i got into final assembly tonight, i had lowered both ends as much as really possible, but it still sits like a 4 x 4.

Not wanting to chop up a painted, and almost finished build, i decided on a change of wheels instead,

i went with the lower profile pegasus DZ's, now it sits perfect i think.  Finished pics tomorrow..  :)

Thanks for following guys. :)

Absolutely STUNNING Dale!!!! NICE job on the finished body, that paint, O-M-G has a serious shine to it, and with the added BMF it is KILLER! The engine looks GREAT too. the wheels you choose fit that model, PERFECTLY!

NICE work man! Thats how ya start off a new year!
