A big X4 for the Transit. Didn't think we would ever see that one again. And very glad the rumor I heard was not true. (The rumor that Ford had ordered the molds destroyed years ago.)  I have 2 of the "Canon" version but will probably get another.  You can do so many things with that kit.

Very suprised and pleased to see the Transit back, I had one of the Paris/Daker ones years back and sold it on, and then regretted it ever since, and the prices have gone a little crazy recently.

Ill be getting 1 or 2 of those , interested in the Muira too

Gary, if the Miura is the ESCI reissue - which I think that it is - then beware! It is clumsy and toylike, detail is sparse, proportions are wrong. This is why I sold mine many years ago.

The best Miura on the market is from Hasegawa though it is a late SV version.

Thanks Helmut, I wouldn't have known anything about that kit so that helps a lot, it's a shame no one does the early version apart from this old ESCI mold.

This is going to be horrendously complicated, I know, but I'd love to convert the Transit into this:

http://www.kleine-klassiker.de/images/product_images/popup_images/Modelauto-Ford-Transit-MK-I-1965-:__:3255_0.JPG

Then tow the Belkits Escort with it on an Aoshima Brian James trailer.

Sounds like we have the same plan:lol: I'm hoping for a aftermarket conversion kit to make it a mk1 Transit.

Airfix should drop 1/32nd scale, for automotive kits and embrace 1/24th scale for non American subjects.

Or do they fear the competition

;^)

'nuff said!

Whom do you have in mind? Tapani and his collection of dropouts?

If they would do it, great! But it does not matter much to me who does it aslong as it is a good one. Rejii Model did a great conversion kit for the Esci Gälendewagen: http://www.spotmodel.com/product_info.php?products_id=16510 and ScaleProduction has several cool transkits including the VW Doka for the Hasegawa kit. C1 models has done several including that very nice VW Caddy pickup.
If any of these (or some other good aftermarket producers) make a conversionkit I will buy it.

IMHO they should start with a Lotus Cortina MK1, then a Capri MK1....

Absolutely !, I'd love to see a Mk1 Lotus Cortina it's such an iconic car and was even raced in the US, I'm quite surprised that Tamiya never released a kit of one.

I'm actualy still in shock that the Transit has returned !.
