afx Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Fox Sports is covering the event but they bounce coverage back and forth between FS1 and FS2 - I hate that. How are you planning on watching? Edited February 1, 2016 by afx
Atmobil Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Last year I discovered that the aired to complete race online:http://www.imsa.com/imsa-tv/episode/2015-rolex-24-daytona-qualifying EDIT: Ooops, that was last year qualiying session. Not sure if the do the same thing this year.EDIT 2: I found this: http://www.imsa.com/series/sportscar-championship/tv-episodes maybe they will show it there? Edited January 26, 2016 by Atmobil
Crazy Ed Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I record what is covered on TV (looks to be ~12 hours of the Race + some talk) and watch Saturdays coverage in a block starting ~8 or 9PM, then finish off Sunday after I get up.
THarrison351 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Only what's on the Internet, forget subscription TV prices. I'm strictly broadcast and Internet.
Badluck 13 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 ......Two races a year I will not miss...Rolex 24 at Daytona and 24 at Le Mans......
Gt fan Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 If you look on some of the teams websites they offer there in car. It cool if you get two up at the same time. Last year Porsche offered it for Le Mans. You could switch from car to car. Flying lizards has it though there Facebook page.
afx Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 Ford GT is fast. Bummer both cars had gearbox issues so early.
Joe Handley Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 The Deltawing car was running strong, but unfortunately, they had to retire after an unfortunate collision with a stalled car in the middle of turn one.
hgbben Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I'm at the race working. When the cars come into the international horse shoe you will see a uhaul. that's me

Ace-Garageguy Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) Great race, especially the GTLM Corvettes lead-swapping on the last lap. Watched about as much of the race as I would have if I'd been there...from a much better vantage point. I love the internet. I would have loved to see the new Ford GT on the podium, or at least finish, but the original GT 40 had its share of teething problems in the beginning too. Edited January 31, 2016 by Ace-Garageguy
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I'm at the race working...What are you doing?
hgbben Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Getting tires s from specific teams. We sell them to guys and gals that do hpde
Crazy Ed Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 All in All a really good Daytona 24 Hour Race. Except for Prototype Challenge which I sometimes wonder just what slot they fill in endurance racing. I as really sorry to see the Delta wipeout once again. It was looking like they finally had a real shot at not only finishing, but also Winning! Let's hope some of that Honda Tech is transfered to their F-1 McLaren effort..........
afx Posted February 1, 2016 Author Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) I agree Ed the PC class is so uninteresting and a waste of grid space. Now that IMSA has adopted FIA GT3 regulations we are seeing the GTD class swell. I think they should drop the PC class to make more room for GTD and GTLM cars.Glad no one was hurt in the accident but frankly I was happy the DeltaWing didn't finish. I certainly don't want to see more of these style cars on the grid. Edited February 1, 2016 by afx
Crazy Ed Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Better Delta Cars than E Cars! I look at the Delta as the 21st Century version of the AVS Shadow, except they've had time to develop their car and started with a cockpit a Driver could "work" in. As to PC, well were it mine to choose I'd go with a P2 type formula. Limit HP/CI and let the chips fall where they may. The Majors could use it for Chassis Development or new Engine ideas, and the Privateers could buy prior years developmental cast offs which could lead to some fun Racing. I Frankly just don't care for Spec Racers running in top level Racing. Heck even GTD has Car choices and some Team Latitude.
