vamach1 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Hopefully I can see the progress in person unless we get snowed under in February.

afx Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 Which car in particular are you doing?Haven't decided on specific chassis yet Maxx. Need to see how the conversion turns out before I get too far into details.
Len Woodruff Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) How many Cobra's do you have in WIP currently JC? LOL Edited January 31, 2016 by Len Woodruff
250 Testa Rossa Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 There were only five 289 Competition Roadsters built for FIA racing.

afx Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 There were only five 289 Competition Roadsters built for FIA racing. That's right Maxx. There were several more USRRC Roadsters built to the same basic spec as the FIA cars however.
250 Testa Rossa Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 That's right Maxx. There were several more USRRC Roadsters built to the same basic spec as the FIA cars however.Yep. Are you going to do the Gurney/Johnson car that raced at Sebring in '64?
afx Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 Yep. Are you going to do the Gurney/Johnson car that raced at Sebring in '64?CSX2259. Bob Johnson destroyed the car at Sebring flipping the car multiple times after crashing into an Alfa GTZ at over 100 MPH. The remains were hauled back to Shelby American, salvageable parts were removed and the rest was cut-up and thrown in a dumpster.

Ace-Garageguy Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 Man, some real pretty work going on here.
afx Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) Thank you for the interest and the comments Steve & Bill. Here I have added the oil cooler scoop. Re-scribed the "cut back" door lines and filled the side pipe outlet. Edited February 2, 2016 by afx
Speedfreak Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) Looks nice JC, so does the mockup. What's the body color on this? Blue with white stripes? Edited February 8, 2016 by Speedfreak
afx Posted February 8, 2016 Author Posted February 8, 2016 Thanks Gene. I haven't fully settled on an exact car yet. Pretty sure it will be a '64 car in Princess (Viking) Blue. I have the Scale Coachwork decal sheet so I do have some options.
