The GT rules required a speedometer be installed as they would be on a production car.  Speedometers provide no meaningful information to a race car driver so they were installed well out of the line of sight.

What an incredible build JC - interesting about the speedo being right over on the right side of the dash!  Keep us posted - this is too cool!

Thanks Maxx.

Applied white primer for the final coat in hopes it will lighten the final shade. Color comes next Princess (Viking) Blue.

You most likely have better information than I do Rick but this is from Rinsey Mills’ book AC Cobra-The Truth Behind the Anglo-American Legend:

Great looking progress JC !!!

The pics above of the box stock build are of what kit?

Randy

Thanks Randy.  The box stock build shown is of the base kit I started with.

Boxart AC Cobra 427 SN-1500 Sunny

This is the same kit just different box art.

I understand what Mr. Mills has printed, but "Princess Alice Blue" is an AC color, and while similar to "Viking Blue", it is not identical.

There are a lot of differing opinions out there regarding Viking vs. Princess Blue.  Here are few examples:

I'll just refer to it as "Viking Blue" going forward so as to avoid confusion. :)
