Scale-Master Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 WIP Thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/109102-cayuse/?page=1 It has a 429 Hemi. The engine and under hood area are not detailed since it’s really just a curbside. There’s about the same level of detail on the chassis.
GMCMAN52 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 nice clean built ,looks like a factory kit vs cutting and modeling two bodies together
D. Battista Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Pretty Awesome...!I looked at the wip thread..... a lot of work and cool ideas..! You did a great job on this... and paint work is beautiful..!
iamsuperdan Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 The melding of the two kits is perfect. Looks like it came that way.And the two cars almost match together perfectly. There's something about that front 3/4 shot (pic4) that just seems off to me, somehow. By no means is that a slight on your skills, it's just the Camaro and Mustang shapes and how they work together.Love the colour choice.
Scale-Master Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Thanks Guys!I think part of the "problem" is that we know what a Camaro looks like and we know what a Mustang looks like. It messes with the brain (putting two very familiar designs together as one) and the result is seeing other things in the composition as well. I saw Torino, Falcon XB, Holden Commodore, 'Cuda as well as something AMC as it was coming together. Now I've seen it so much it looks normal.
Silver Foxx Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 A lot of real nice work in this , I like it .
Dragline Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 So well executed. The seamless nature of the mod is so impressive. Well done.
fseva Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Wow - now there's something you won't see every day!
Snake45 Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 Not bad looking at all! And your paint is spectacular! Nicely done!
GTJUNIOR Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Turned out great. Looks like something the big three could have produced back in the late 60's.
DumpyDan Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 That turned out beautiful, the line flow real nice
crazyrichard Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 yes that came out great .. i expected some larger size and more modern wheels when i followed the build but these look great .. keeps it classic looking ..great build !
