zaina Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 (edited) We moved into our new house back in November and just finished the new work space. I used 100+ year old reclaimed wood flooring attached to a frame and refinished and set it on some organizing cubes bought at Walmart. I have a lot of bench space and everything is within reach. i also built a space for the wife to work on crafts Edited February 18, 2016 by zaina

Roadrunner Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Reclaiming that old wood is cool. Not 100, but my old house was built in 1938, and had hardwood floors throughout.
espo Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Great looking work space, almost to nice to use.
tbill Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 very nice! a bit too clean though, haha. i just got a 'new room' myself, finally organised...............for now............. great looking space you have there.
crazyjim Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I had to take a pic of my work desk to share. This desk has been in my family for years and years. My Mom used it to do her homework, then my older sister used it for school work, and then it became mine. I've been using it for model car building for about 50 years now. It's been refinished too many times to remember, but it's still solid.
Old Buckaroo Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Andy those bench tops are very nice! Congratulations on your new work area.
disabled modeler Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Very kool work area!!!!!!Yeah what the doctor said...WOW that is nice..!
charlie8575 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Very nice work.I'd recommend getting some clear Vyco drafting board mat to put over that wood for added protection.Charlie
zaina Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Pretty nice area, Andy. That wheelie drawer thing looks very interesting. What's in those 2x4s over to the right?those 2x4s are used to hold parts to paint. I have holes drilled in them to hold up the alligator clips that have sprue attached to them. I spray paint almost every piece in a kit so these are very handy to hold parts.
Petetrucker07 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Nice, very nice man. I'm still workin on the kitchen counter. Someday I tell ya, someday.....
robertw Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 That workbench looks way to nice to mess up with modelling stuff but in the end your space is going to look like a showroom model space.
