jjsipes Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 (edited) Being a Dodge man as I am, I'm sitting here prepping a 57 Ford Del Rio Wagon for primer thinking to myself "Why am I working on a Ford?" We need more different model subjects than the Ford and Chevys all the time.. I am loving Moebius with all there offers that they are doing. Have multiples of each but want to build a semi custom wagon for a change. Would be great if we had a Chrysler wagon of some sorts. Does anyone else feel like we need more Mopar models? I do not remember to many 30's Mopars except the 32 Chrysler, 40's Mopars - 41 Plymouth, 50's Mopars - 55 thru 57 300 Series unless you can get a hold of some old Jo-han kits. gtx6970 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 (edited) We think alike. Being a Mopar guy myself. I would love to see more ,,especially the late 50s to early 60s full size cars .Just think , we just in recent years finally got the 55 thru 57 Chrysler 300s, I would love to see that continue, especially a 1960 or ,,,even better a 1961 300 letter car.How about a 1957 or 58 Desoto Firesweep convertible , I'll even take a 59 if the modeling gods want to make it happen Edited March 9, 2016 by gtx6970
Jon Haigwood Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Being a Ford/Mopar Guy and currently building about a dozen Mopar big block engines (sort of a assembly line process for current and future builds) I have more current and future Mopar projects that I will ever build. Not to mention about 40 1964-1973 Ford kits and about two dozen miscellaneous kits waiting in the wings. For me personally there is plenty out there. There is always someone wanting a something a little differant then the current offerings but that is where the Resin market can step in. Like the man said it is all supply and demand.
StevenGuthmiller Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I think we just need more almost any full sized car subjects!Just think for a second how many full sized cars are currently available, whether they be Oldsmobile, Buick, Pontiac Cadillac, Any of the Mopars, or Mercury & Lincoln. It's kind of sad to think that there are no Plymouth Fury's currently being produced between 1958 & 1970!Really makes me sad. Then people wonder why guys like me spend the big bucks to buy old annuals.I now have examples of Plymouth Fury's from '58-'62 & '65-'67.Eventually I will fill the '63, '64 & '68 holes.Similar things can be said about virtually every other make with the exception of Ford & Chevrolet.I agree, more Mopars........& everything else! Steve
CometMan Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I totally agree with you guys! We need anything besides yet another over-issued mid-sized Ford or Chevy!
Mr mopar Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I totally agree with you guys we need more Mopars 1970 Plymouth wagon would be cool to see .
MeatMan Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Wow, I'm a Chevy guy and I wondered why my last build was a Dodge, and I'm working on a 300 now. I also have a Charger lined up for later in the year. I don't know - in the end I just love cars of all kinds.
Richard Bartrop Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I'm a little surprised that nobody's ever released a Chrysler Airflow kit.
louie Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Definitely agree. I personally like just about any vehicle out there and would love to have a few more Mopars to build. Thanks. Jeff

1972coronet Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Here's what I feel is lacking in the MoPar arena :- 1967 Dart and or Barracuda- 1971 / 1972 Road Runner ( I'd be content with the MPC versions being reissued !)- 1974-1975 Monaco Police- 1977-1978 Monaco Police ( not too hip on that MPC kit ... )- 1972-1978 D/W Pickups- 1970-1971 Challenger ( those Monogram-come-Revell 340 T/A kits are ancient ! Don't get me started on that caca diecast-come-plastic "thing" from a few years ago ! )- 1958 "any-thing" with the Bendix Electro-Jector fuel injection !- 1965 Coronet - 1970-1975 B-Van
slusher Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I would love to see some mid to late 60's Dodge truck and Dodge or Plymouth wagon. We need something in the truck line beside the Little Red Express and the Ram VTS truck.. I am a Mopar guy and build everything but we need some new wagons and trucks..
disabled modeler Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I agree with you all but I like all brands of vehicles pretty much.
