I finally finished this one up a few hours ago.  I'm glad to have it done as it seemed that I had to force myself to work on it because I'm really not into NASCARS.

Very cool Rich!  We are having beers on Friday night, right?  :)

The NNL East decal promotion has gone way beyond our wildest expectations!   They are everywhere! Still have a bunch of them if anyone wants a set for free... just email your name and address to  nnleast@aol.com

Thanks very much for the kind comments guys.

The model car manufacturer and aftermarket decals that I made came out looking that way when I printed them on blank decal paper on my HP inkjet printer.  I let the ink dry fully for over a day before I sprayed them with Duplicolor clearcoat so the ink wouldn't run when I put the decals in water.

Tom, yes I guess we'll be having either a few beers, or Margaritas, on Friday night for sure.  I look forward to it.

Very nice. You may want to check ink levels in your printer. Looks like you are running low.

Looks good Rich. I know Bare Metal sells decal papers that are exclusively for ink jet or laser. Perhaps you used the wrong kind in the ink jet? Just a theory.

Thanks Rob.  That is a possibility re the decal paper.  When I printed the decals on the decal paper that I got from my LHS, the ink appeared to have sat on the paper in small "dots".  I let it totally dry for a day before I clearcoated it.  I'll check out the BMF paper if I decide to print any more of my own decals.  Thanks for the tip.

Rich... two questions.

Do you have the original artwork that you printed from?  If so email me and I'll see if I can print it here.

Did you clear coat the body once the decals were on it?

If you email me the art, I should be able to print it on the right paper and drop it right back in the mail to you.  If you clear coated the body, you can try matching the new decals over the old ones.  If you didn't clear coat, you can probably remove the decals with Scotch tape and use the ones I printed.   I did the original NNL East decal sheet prototype on a Chevy Cavalier promo to see how they would look before we had the big lot professionally printed.  The quality was just slightly less than the pro decals.
