PatW Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 (edited) Lets start with the Surfite. The wheels seemed too small and the body bare................... And a surfboard hire came to mind so I took the board from the kit, made a few more and added various decals.......... Edited April 2, 2016 by PatW
PatW Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 I needed a trailer to cart all of the boards around so built this.................... And put them together in the bright, warm sunshine here today...................... By the by the tiki hut is under construction as we speak!
Crazy Ed Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Patrick, well I don't see anything wrong. What the heck it's a Fun Build so however You do it, it is right!
Misha Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Very, very kool Patrick. It's neat to see one done in another colour and the swapped out wheels and tires look perfect, bit moe aggressive. The trailer really completes the picture. Really enjoy seeing what you've done here.Cheers Misha
PatW Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 Thanks guys, it's good to get some positive feedback!
PatW Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 (edited) Thanks Ray the kit wheels/tryes combo seemed a bit small, but in real life they were small. I think the bigger tyres will cope with the dunes and waves better. Edited April 2, 2016 by PatW
PatW Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) Cheers Stephen, and here's the Tiki Hut and his builder the famous Ed Roth! The sufboard is from the kit with a Firebird Designs decal on the board. So I updated his T shirt by adding a Monster logo on the back. Hold on is there still someone asleep in there? Edited April 3, 2016 by PatW
PatW Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 Here are all the pieces, and so ready for the dunes..................... And here in the dunes looking for customers..................... He also has one of his own Rat Fink decals on the front of his shirt.
Crazy Ed Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Partick, That looks Great!! Really good job on Ed Big Daddy Roth!
PatW Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 Thanks Ed but I can't take any credit for the Big Daddy Roth figure as it comes ready painted in the kit. All I did was add the front and back decals!
Shardik Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Very creative update on this kit. And well executed.
PatW Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 Thanks John and Bruce, I'm very glad you like it!
