Ulbo Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 It is hard to believe this is not real car!!! Another fantastic job from you... Congratulations!!!
Can-Con Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Very sharp ! ,, You don't often see someone do the headlight trim properly on those Caddy kits.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Great!! Super well built, and a fantastic car. That car is class, and quality materialized. Really hard to beat (maybe a '59 Lincoln can do the trick)
Ack! Ack-ack! Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Execution, colour choice, foiling and photography are top notch. Beautiful model, I wish it was mine.
Plastheniker Posted April 10, 2016 Author Posted April 10, 2016 Thanks for all comments and compliments!I am happy that you like my colour combination. Most finished models I know are red or pink. Of course pink is a characteristic colour for the 1:1 car but IMO it makes the model look a bit toy-like (and the real car like Miss Piggy's favourite).Nevertheless for most of the result I have to give credit to Monogram's nice kit.
MrObsessive Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 (and the real car like Miss Piggy's favourite). Nevertheless for most of the result I have to give credit to Monogram's nice kit. LOL!! I never would have thought of that! Now that thought is stuck in my mind! Very nice work and this is another one of my '59 favorites! I have both the convertible and the hardtop-------someday one of 'em will be on my work table.
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 That is truly beautiful work. First impression is of a real car, and that's tough to pull off in 1/24-1/25. The texture of the top finish and your added details like the door window frame being just visible, the door lock button, etc...plus what looks like perfect foil work...man, that's just fine fine fine.
Dann Tier Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Nice to see another one of your Extremely Well done cars! The colors are perfect, and the top looks great in the UP position!!
W-409 Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Looks fantastic as your builds always do! One of the best Monogram Cadillacs I've seen. It's great to see this one with the top up, I think it looks much better that way than with top down. I like that color choice and paint job is really smooth too, plus that your work is very nice and clean overall as always. Great job.
Plastheniker Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 Thanks a lot for the recent comments! ... You don't often see someone do the headlight trim properly on those Caddy kits. ... your added details like the door window frame being just visible, the door lock button, etc... It really takes attentiveness and expert eyes to realize this!
olschoolkid Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 I have always loved the 59 Caddies. I myself have thought of one of these as a mild custom.
bogger44 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Love your color choices here. Simply put, this is one outstanding build, congrats!
