Kit Basher Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 He looks quite content. If I ever got in that thing, I'd never be able to get out!
Harry P. Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Any idea what that bar angling out over the rear wheel is?
High octane Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Any idea what that bar angling out over the rear wheel is?Brakes???
Harry P. Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Kickstand! Don't need a kickstand on a three-wheeler...
Snake45 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Kickstand! HAHAHAHAHAHA! I was gonna guess exhaust? If you could get 12 or 15 or 20 of those things together on a parking lot--or maybe inside a high school gym--you could have some SERIOUS FUN!
Harry P. Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Anyone notice the handle in the front just below the license plate? Is that so you can carry it home in case it breaks down?
bismarck Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Whats left of a training wheel? Curb feeler maybe?
Crazy Ed Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I'm with Snake on the "Competition" Side Pipe. That must be the Sport Spyder version To me it looks like a Converted Bumper Car.
Harry P. Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I was gonna guess exhaust? Can't be. Why run the exhaust outside and in front of the rear wheel?
Scalper Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 I think that bar at the back is a foot step so you can get in without damaging the body.
Crazy Ed Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 (edited) The Bar is on both sides and is an Axwl Support! http://www.rollermobilclub.ch/2010/08/ Scroll down to the First image of it and click on it and you'll get an enlargement that clearly shows it. Edited April 7, 2016 by Crazy Ed
maltsr Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 This is what the chassis looks like, confirming it's part of the rear suspension.
Snake45 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Can't be. Why run the exhaust outside and in front of the rear wheel? Corvette envy?
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Haven't youse guys ever seen a butt helmet before?
vintagedragcrazy Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I'll bet that's tough sitting on that motor! And they say front engine rails are dangerous not much different than sitting with your legs wrapped around the rear and bellhousing!vince
madhorseman Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 HAHAHAHAHAHA! I was gonna guess exhaust? I think he's rolling down a hill and his feet are up, and inside
Kit Basher Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 That chassis pic is cool. Except I can't figure out what makes it go. I don't see a chain or a driveshaft anywhere. As far as sitting on the engine, no different than a motorcycle. In fact, that's what it is, three wheeled cycle, swing arm rear suspension, springer front. I had those same drum brakes on my old Yamaha, they stopped just fine, especially since the whole thing probably only weighs 400 pounds. It has to have a pull start, no room for a kick start. I wonder if that thing sticking up in front is the rear brake lever, or maybe the shifter. What's old is new again, these guys just put the two wheels in front:https://sp.yimg.com/xj/th?id=OIP.Mf904221f152bd2e96124ace880f07b42H0&pid=15.1&P=0&w=300&h=300
slusher Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 You have me beat, I couldn't ever get in !I could get in it but getting out now that would take some time..
oldnslow Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 (edited) I'd like to see what it looks like with the top up. : ) never mind, Edited April 8, 2016 by oldnslow
