YBlock292 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 A model kit of one of those big American "land yachts" of a bygone period ... the kit is a reissue of an older MPC-kit, not comparable to the precise new tooled kits of other manufacturers issued today. I decided to build the convertible bone stock in a nice color. This time I didn't build the engine, so the hood stays closed on the photos.
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Nicely done. I love the old yachts.
MrBuick Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Beautiful work...I keep going back and fourth on buying the recent release of this kit...I love 95% of these cars but the front end is just ugly IMO. Still, I think I want to get one built. Anyway, great job on your build!
TooOld Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 That's really nice ! I built the pickup version as a kid , I think I need to build the convertible this time around !
Harry Joy Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Nice. I'm working on the same thing myself. I was just trying to figure out if I should fill the sink marks on the trunk lid, but they are faint. Looking at your model, I cannot see them at all. Did you fill them, or was the paint enough to make them go away?
YBlock292 Posted April 9, 2016 Author Posted April 9, 2016 Thank You guys!Harry: There are only tiny marks on the trunk lid which I covered up with paint, no need to fill them prior ro painting
59-Desoto Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Love these big land yachts , looks good in my eye wouldn't hesitate a min to put it on my shelve .

CometMan Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Very nice! I have that one too, and it is a very simple, but nice, kit!
