sjordan2 Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Still nobody for this one, eh? Maybe you'd recognize the rest of her. Likely, nobody ever actually looked at her face before. Okay, Ace, who is it?
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Okay, Ace, who is it? The lovely Diane Webber, pinup model extrordinare and actress. Not as widely remembered as Bettie Page, but certainly worth a look or 3.
SfanGoch Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Diane (Marguerite Empey) Weber's father was Arthur Guy Empey. Artie did it all. He was an American soldier in the British Army during WWI, author, actor, screenwriter and movie producer. I have two of his books, "Over The Top" and "The Madonna of the Hills: A Story of a New York Cabaret Girl".
Aaronw Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Rachel Ward................. I was hoping using the B&W photo from the 1930s themed Dead men don't wear plaid would throw people off a few decades. Foiled
SfanGoch Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 I have a theory that I think holds water. The blonde is an uncredited extra who never played a significant part on Mannix.Having been a student intern on Quinn Martin TV shows, I know that series production companies pretty much used stock companies of extras (bit players / background players / atmosphere, etc) who were around the set frequently or all the time; often, "wild" footage would be picked up for unknown potential use, just in case.I came across a Mannix fan site where the name THORDIS BRANDT came up on the same subject of the title dancer, but not followed through on. [monsterkidclass.horrorforum.yuku.com], and that's who I think it is. She appeared in an uncredited part in Mannix, season 2 ("Pressure Point") as Miss Hampstead. From Wikipedia: A bit player for most of her career, she appeared in such TV shows as Burke's Law "The Girl from UNCLE", "The Green Hornet", "Mannix" and a brief appearance in the 1967 episode of "The Fugitive", The One That Got Away. Thordis' appearances rarely required her to speak.[2] I'm a member of the Classic Horror Film Board and I remember that thread. It's not Thordis Brandt. Her schnozz is a lot bigger and has thinner lips than the woman in the white dress. Another possibility, as was mentioned here in a previous post, is Lee Parrish. I understand your point about the footage; but, the clips from the opening credits were all taken from the first season episodes which were already in the can before the show debuted on Sept. 16, 1967.
SfanGoch Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 I was hoping using the B&W photo from the 1930s themed Dead men don't wear plaid would throw people off a few decades. Foiled One of my favorite films.
slusher Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Folks may have an easier time identifying Annie May Bullock from this photo Remember I`m from St Louis. One night in St. Louis Tina Turner, then Anna Mae Bullock, went with her sister Aillene to a nightclub called The Manhattan where the Kings of Rhythm were performing. It was that night that she met Ike Turner. I heard the story numerous times because my mothers oldest sister (my aunt Stella) and Aillene were gal pals and my aunt was part of the group of girls that when to the Manhattan that faithful night. Later in life St Louis musician Chuck Berry`s brother (Larry Berry) lived next door to my family. As a young child I would see Chuck Berry regularly visiting his brother and nephews on holidays. 2013 Picture is airbrushed...
SfanGoch Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 2013 Picture is airbrushed...So is the 2016 Tina Turner.
SfanGoch Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Madeleine Stowe. She's been subbing for Robert Osborne on TCM this weekend.
Snake45 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 No, sorry. That would have been my guess, too. Jaclyn Smith, then?
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 That would have been my guess, too. Jaclyn Smith, then? Keria Knightly Nope, and nope.
SfanGoch Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 She played Sarah Connor on that Terminator TV series on Fox. The name will probably come to me after somebody else mentions it.
