cobraman Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 Thanks guys. I like this little kit. May have to search out another deal on one to do the " A " paint version.
bobthehobbyguy Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Nice work. Wouldn't know you had an issue with theblue on the frlnt.
cobraman Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 Thanks Bob. The red stripe helped with a small issue that remained.
Mike Chernecki Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Looks great! I have been trying to piece one together for a while. I can't find my original and 2 I bought online had crushed bodies. Btw, if you are looking for another, get the Testors HSO release in the cardboard box, it has a full set of photo-etched emblems included.
charlie8575 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Does that issue of the AMC / Rambler have the old Nash 287 / 327 V8 or does it have a "contemporary" AMC V8 ?From what I remember reading on a board long, long ago, this has the older-style block with newer-style heads and top-end.From what I've been led to believe, the Javelin has the newer engine, but I'm not entirely sure. There was a fellow posting who was VERY knowledgeable about AMCs, but he died a short time after I got to know him. Went by the handle Mr.AMC, I think. I remember he lived in the NYC Metro area.Charlie Larkin
charlie8575 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Ray- looks good, and it's nice to see the B scheme being done.Charlie Larkin
cobraman Posted May 18, 2016 Author Posted May 18, 2016 Nice ! I think your blue is closer to the actual color more than what I used.
