Fanof69 Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Hello All. Built this one mostly box stock the way I build most of them. Comments welcome as always. Thanks for looking!
Jhedir6 Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Love it. Paint looks great, details look perfect. Need to get mine finished up, and hope it looks close to this nice. Love to see some shots of the chassis too.David
Hubert Rollins Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 That's one purty Chivvolay!! Did the gauge decals come with the kit?
Mercelo Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Very nice, l like the color. Looks like it's got some beefy springs in there. Is that the Revell kit? Nice job!
Kmb0319 Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 WOW... I just posted one of these, in dark green as well, and it wasn't nearly this nice. AWESOME JOB!!! It definitely makes a big difference to go with the raised suspension in the rear.... that looks great!
rmvw guy Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I get excited every time I see one of these, nice job.
Ulbo Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Nice looking Nova but I have never seen so shiny tires in real life, and it looks not much realistic as it should be if they were more flat looking like real rubber...
Fanof69 Posted May 2, 2016 Author Posted May 2, 2016 Thanks everyone for the comments. Very nice, l like the color. Looks like it's got some beefy springs in there. Is that the Revell kit? Nice job! Thanks Mercelo! Yes this is Revell Special Edition kit. Went together well and was a fun build. That's one purty Chivvolay!! Did the gauge decals come with the kit? Thanks Hubert, yes those are kit decals. WOW... I just posted one of these, in dark green as well, and it wasn't nearly this nice. AWESOME JOB!!! It definitely makes a big difference to go with the raised suspension in the rear.... that looks great! Thanks Kevin! I will go look at yours here soon and post comments in that thread. Nice looking Nova but I have never seen so shiny tires in real life, and it looks not much realistic as it should be if they were more flat looking like real rubber... Thanks Ulbo! yes your right about the tires. the decals were not staying on very well, so I put clear coat on them (Future floor finish). I guess I need to check into getting some dull coat
Jeepxj Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Nice job on the Nova.I really like the color..For some reason,Novas look really nice in dark green..Great outdoor pix too.And dam,you look like you've got some land out there by you.Yea,you definitely got some elbow room where u live...Lucky me,I'm stuck in NYC.
Dann Tier Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Fantastic job!!, great color choice, and the white lettering looks great as well! It is also very nice to see a higher ride-height for a change-looks tough.
Ulbo Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Yes you are right if you use dull coat it will make the big difference and decals will look like they were painted.
mikemodeler Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 very nice rendition of the Nova! Clean and well detailed,
